Cleeve Hill      Early morning a male RING OUZEL, a calling Cuckoo, 7+ Wheatears, two Lesser Whitethroats, three Whitethroats, many Willow Warblers and a pair of Stonechats. (Mark Hobson). Also later three Cuckoos, a Tree Pipit, a Willow Warbler, Linnets, a Raven and a Kestrel. (Luke Hunter).

WWT Slimbridge     A drake GARGANEY on the Rushy. (Esther Rumsey). A Mediterranean Gull on South Lake. (Helen Bojaniwska).

Forest of Dean    Three singing Garden Warblers in Haywood plantation this morning. (Owen Follis). At Crabtree Hill a Garden Warbler, a Wood Warbler, a Tree Pipit, a Whitethroat, a Stonechat, a Raven and a Lesser Redpoll. A Swift over Westbury later. (Jeremy Holland).

Aylburton Common     A male Siskin with four fledglings on sunflower feeders in the garden today. (Martin Vaisey).

Frampton     No sign of the Black Redstart at Cools Farm (Denfurlong Farm) or on the church early morning. A Cuckoo flew N towards the Sailing Lake calling, Yellow Wagtail and Whimbrel heard in the fog, a Common Crane flew high E and four Oystercatchers. (MK). Around the pools Pools Whitethroats, Cetti’s Warblers, Reed Warblers, Blackcaps, a Goldcrest, three Common Terns on the Sailing Lake, three Great Crested Grebes, two Hobbies over together and a Kingfisher. (Jon Dexter). Later at least three Hobbies and three Common Terns on Court Lake this morning. (Terry Stevenson). From Splatt Bridge first thing four Common Cranes flew through, 12 Whimbrels, three Common Sandpipers, a Redshank, two Common Terns, three female Wheatears, two Yellow Wagtails and an increase in Whitethroats. Nympsfield     A Grasshopper Warbler reeling in the bushes off Tinkley Lane at 6am but no further sign later. (Colin Greenfield).

Coombe Hill Meadows    A White-fronted Goose, a Common Sandpiper, a Great White Egret, a Kingfisher, a pair of Cetti’s Warblers, Whitethroats and Sedge Warblers abundant, two Lesser Whitethroats, a Hobby, a Red Kite, a Goshawk and good numbers of Redstarts. (Ian Ralphs/Les Ditchburn/Andy Jayne).

Stinchcombe Hill    A Garden Warbler singing this morning. (James Robinson).

Ebley     The first returning Swift this morning. (Martin & Michelle Greenish).

Rodborough     Four Swifts back this morning. (Seb Buckton).

Gloucester     Three Swifts back at Linden this morning. (James Barradine).

Bishops Cleeve     Early morning around fields to the W of Sapphire Road multiple Yellowhammers, Linnets, Skylarks, Chiffchaffs, Willow Warblers and Whitethroats, a male Blackcap, a Lesser Whitethroat and a Cuckoo. (Mark Longland).

Coberley to Cowley     A Whinchat, a Stonechat, two Redstarts, two Wheatears and two Tree Pipits. (Chris Furley).

Nailsworth     A Common Sandpiper and a Grey Wagtail feeding in small tributary stream by the bridge to Egypt Mill in the centre of the town. (Malcolm Gibbs).

Cheltenham     At Naunton Park, Pilley Bridge Reserve a Green Woodpecker, three Chiffchaffs, three Blackcaps and Orange Tip butterflies. From the garden a Raven and first records this year of Holly Blue, Brimstone and White sp butterflies. Also a a Bee Fly. (Steve Brown).
