Frampton     On Court Lake this afternoon four Hobbies, two Common Terns, an Oystercatcher, the Ross’s Goose, a drake Mandarin, 30+ Swifts, 50+ Sand Martins and 4+ Swallows. At Cools Farm (Denfurlong Farm) S of the Sailing Lake on plough two Yellow Wagtails with two Pied Wagtails, a Wheatear, six Linnets, a Mistle Thrush and a Buzzard and a Lesser Whitethroat in the hedge. Two Kingfishers at the Sailing Lake. (MK/Roy Shilham). This evening around the pools a Wheatear, six Yellowhammers, two Cuckoos, 80+ Swifts, 50+ Swallows, 150+ Sand Martins, 20+ House Martins, five Common Terns, two Hobbies, a Redshank over, a Lesser Whitethroat, six Whitethroats, two Sedge Warblers, 8+ Reed Warblers, a Kestrel, 31 Tufted Ducks, three drake Mandarins and two Nuthatches. Saul Warth     This afternoon 300+ distant small waders, mainly Dunlins and Ringed Plovers, five Avocets, seven Oystercatchers, a Grey Plover, eight Whimbrels, a second-calendar year Mediterranean Gull, two Whitethroats, a male Whinchat and a Swift through. (Gordon Hodgson).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This morning a Cattle Egret, a Great White Egret, a White-fronted Goose, 24 Black-tailed Godwits, two Little Ringed Plovers, a Curlew, 12 Sand Martins, a small passage of Swifts, a Yellow Wagtail, a Cuckoo, a Whinchat and two Cetti’s Warblers. (Ian Hull/Andy Lodge).

Aylburton     At Stockwell Lane this afternoon 60-70 Swallows on a wire fence and ten flying low over fields, 13 Shelducks, five Reed Warblers and a Cetti’s Warbler. On the rocks at Aylburton Warth two Wheatears. (Martin Vaisey).

Cleeve Hill     Nine Wheatears between the radio masts and the trig point late afternoon, just as the rain started. Also a Cuckoo and a Lesser Whitethroat, both at the top end of Watery Bottom. (Ian Ralphs).

Forest of Dean     A pair of Redstarts and a pair of Pied Flycatchers at the Lower hide, Nagshead. Also a Tawny Owlet. (Mark Hobson). A Redstart in the pines at the top of May Hill. (Rob & Gillian Guest).

Stinchcombe Hill    A Hobby heading N over Breakheart Quarry this evening. (James Robinson).

Gloucester     An Oystercatcher feeding on a grass patch at the bottom of London Road at 6am. (Ken Hurcombe). An Oystercatcher feeding on grass on N side of the bus station at midday. Possibly same bird? An Oystercatcher on the 22nd April in front of the BBC on London Road. (per Mark Hobson).

Nailsworth     At least three Swifts flew N in a small hirundine movement this evening, and two Red Kites circling the valley. A Great Crested Grebe (uncommon in the Nailsworth area) dropped in to a private lake. (Terry Grant).

Charlton Kings     A Cuckoo heard from the Beeches area which sounded like it was coming from the Timbercombe area. (Rose Lennard).

Norton     A Red Kite being mobbed by a Raven at 12:30pm. (Steve Pullen).
