WWT Slimbridge      A drake GARGANEY on the Tack Piece and a Great White Egret from Martin Smith hide. Two 2nd calendar year Mediterranean Gulls on South Lake. From Estuary Tower two Whimbrels and a Wheatear. (Slimbridge Sightings).

Coombe Hill Meadows     The White-fronted Goose still, eight Dunlins with 18 Black-tailed Godwits, a Redshank, a Little Grebe, a Great Crested Grebe, six Little Egrets, a Great White Egret, a Cuckoo, a Lesser Whitethroat, a Sedge Warbler, six Swifts and a Yellow Wagtail. Four Ringed Plovers dropped in briefly at 11am. (Jeremy Holland/Les Ditchburn/Duncan & Becky Dine).

Highnam Woods     At first light a Nightingale and a Marsh Tit. (Owen Follis).

Forest of Dean     At Nagshead at 6:30am a Redstart, a Pied Flycatcher, a Firecrest and a Garden Warbler. (Owen Follis).

Frampton     From Splatt Bridge this morning with three Common Cranes flew S, six Whimbrels, a 3rd calendar year Mediterranean Gull, three Common Terns, a Hobby and a Lesser Redpoll through. Two Reed Warblers at Saul Lodge and c30 Swifts. (Gordon Hodgson/Martin Wightman). A Cuckoo and two Great White Egrets at Splatt Bridge at 1pm. (Shane Long). Around the pools pools a Marsh Harrier, a Yellow Wagtail, a Cuckoo, 28 Swifts, three Common Terns, eight Whitethroats, two Lesser Whitethroats, 10+ Reed Warblers, three Oystercatchers, 36 Chiffchaffs, 32 Blackcaps, 12 Sand Martins, eight Swallows, a Meadow Pipit, ten Skylarks and a Raven. (Nick Goatman). Also five Hobbies hunting over Court lake this afternoon and the Ross’s Goose. On the Sailing Lake four Common Terns and two Kingfishers. (Steve Pullen).

Gloucester     At Castlemeads a Sedge Warbler and two Whitethroats near the car park. (Steve Pullen).

Cotswold Water Park East    Four Sedge Warblers, three Garden Warblers, at least ten Reed Warblers and lots of Blackcaps and Chiffchaffs in the hedgerows and reeds around Pit 125 today. (Ian Davies).

Witcombe Reservoirs     A Grasshopper Warbler reeling at dusk. (Andy Jayne).

Cleeve Hill     A mixed group of at least 13 Buzzards and Red Kites soaring on the up-draughts at the Washpool late morning. (Pete Rodgers).

Ravensgate Hill     50+ Linnets feeding on dandelion seedheads in a field E of Vineyards Farm at SO973186. (Rose Lennard).

Westonbirt Arboretum     Two Firecrests and a Cuckoo calling today in Silk Wood. (Megan Adamou).

Halmore     This morning a Hobby, a Kestrel over, five Grey Herons in a clover field, two male Whitethroats and a singing Song Thrush. (Chris Newton).

Maisemore     Two Greenfinches, five Song Thrushes, two Long-tailed Tits, two Swallows, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Whitethroat, two Skylarks, a Raven, 15 Mallards including five ducklings, two Grey Herons, three Buzzards and a Peregrine. (John Fletcher).

Cheltenham     A Woodpigeon taking nesting material to a plinth above the entrance to Regents Arcade, High Street. A Mistle Thrush on Pittville Lawn, young Blue Tits heard and a Grey Heron fishing on the Pump Rooms lake. (Howard Taylor).
