Forest of Dean    An IBERIAN CHIFFCHAFF in Staple Edge wood on the small clear-fell East and downhill of the Lodge at SO649100. If accepted this is a 1st for Glos. (Greg Conway per Rob Husbands). At Crabtree Hill two Tree Pipits, two Wood Warblers, two Willow Warblers, three Blackcaps, a Whitethroat and two Wild Boar sows. At Nagshead a female Redstart, a Garden Warbler and a Roe Deer. (David Lawrence). Also a female Pied Flycatcher and a Tawny Owlet. (Andy Chapman).

WWT Slimbridge     The male WHITE-SPOTTED BLUETHROAT has returned to Middle Point for its 3rd year. Saul Warth    Early morning five Avocets, five Curlews N, four Oystercatchers, 18 Shelducks, two Barnacle Geese N and a Cetti’s Warbler. (MK).

Frampton     A GLOSSY IBIS flew over Court Lake at 7pm last night (13th). (Aled Phillips).

Around the pools today a Marsh Harrier, eight Common Terns, 50+ House Martins, 30+ Sand Martins, 50+ Swifts, three Lesser Whitethroats, four Whitethroats, 10+ Reed Warblers, four Sedge Warblers, 31 Chiffchaffs, 37 Blackcaps, six Shelducks, two Oystercatchers and a Kingfisher. (Nick Goatman). Along the canal to Splatt Bridge two Oystercatchers, two Redshanks, a Cuckoo, five Lesser Whitethroats and 4+ Reed Warblers, including a showy bird singing from a Laurel at Saul Lodge for several days now. Aston Magna    A Spotted Flycatcher and two Marsh Tits near the fishing ponds. (Jamie Brown).

Bengrove     A singing Lesser Whitethroat in the roadside hedgerow. (Steve Kear).

Ford     Along a lane a pair of Yellow Wagtails and two singing Corn Buntings and at least one female. (Steve Kear).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This morning a Cetti’s Warbler, a Sedge Warbler, a Whitethroat, a Lesser Whitethroat, a Greenfinch, a Great Spotted Woodpecker and a Redstart. (Sarah Townsend).

Witcombe Reservoirs     A Common Sandpiper, a Whitethroat, a Blackcap, a Greenfinch, a Long-tailed Tit, a Great Crested Grebe and a Little Grebe. (Eric Harris).

Cheltenham     A Swift over Albion Street today. (Howard Taylor).

Clapton-on-the-Hill     At New Bridge three Cetti’s Warblers, also Willow, Reed, Garden and Sedge Warblers, three pairs of Shovelers, an Oystercatcher, a Redstart, a Cuckoo and a Hobby. (Keith Jennings).

Brookend, near Guscar Rocks    Three Red Kites with 20-30 gulls and two Buzzards over a field of recently cut grass behind Carol’s Kennels this afternoon. (Ian Gorton).

Cotswolds    This morning a Redstart singing in Oxleaze Wood near Roel Gate. Also two Red Kites over near Wardens Wood. (John Casswell).

Gretton     A Raven visiting tall cedar trees and a Green Woodpecker visiting the garden pond after feeding on ants. (Roger & Sheila Wasley).
