Forest of Dean    The IBERIAN CHIFFCHAFF again in Old Staple-edge Wood around SO 64929 10114 singing throughout the day and showing well occasionally, often high in the Beech canopy. In surrounding woodlands three Wood Warblers, a Goshawk, a Tree Pipit, a Siskin and a Spotted Flycatcher. A Firecrest at New Fancy View. (Richard Cawsey). This morning at Nagshead three Redstarts, a pair of Pied Flycatchers, a Hawfinch, two Siskins, a Treecreeper, a Nuthatch, a Jay, a Mistle Thrush, a Blackcap, a Garden Warbler, a Chiffchaff and a Song Thrush. WWT Slimbridge     The male WHITE-SPOTTED BLUETHROAT was reported by a visitor on one of the stick perches at Middle Point at 1:45pm. Generally it is very elusive and requires time and patience. From Kingfisher hide a male Yellow Wagtail on territory in the Four Score field, two Cuckoos, Kingfishers feeding young in the nest and a pair of Common Cranes with two chicks on the Bottom New Piece. Purton     A  HONEY BUZZARD N over at 1:48pm watched for c5 mins soaring and gaining height. Last seen striking NNW towards the estuary N of Tites Point. Also ten Red Kites (2,2,6), a Spotted Flycatcher, a Grasshopper Warbler and a Yellow Wagtail. (Francis Steuck).

Frampton     Belated news from yesterday the GLOSSY IBIS flew over the Sailing Lake at 9:45am. (Richard Cawsey).

Coombe Hill Meadows a Little Egret,      An unringed adult Common Crane on the northern meadows. Also a Garden Warbler along the tow path. (Ian Hull). Other birds today included three Coots and four young, two Moorhens with two young, ten Mute Swans, three Canada Geese, four Grey Herons, c20 Black-headed Gulls, ten Lapwings, a Curlew, three Chiffchaffs, three Lesser Whitethroats, a Reed Warbler, a Chaffinch and a Skylark. Gloucester     At Horsbere Brook F.S.A. a Reed Warbler, seven Linnets, four Skylarks, a Sparrowhawk and three Yellow Wagtails. (Alan Hooper).

Cheltenham     At midday a circling Raven drifted over Benhall heading S. (David Norman). At Park Campus Lake a drake Mandarin, a Jay, a Raven, two Stock Doves, a Swift, a Nuthatch and a Grey Wagtail and seven Greylag goslings. (Steve Brown).
