Forest of Dean     The IBERIAN CHIFFCHAFF still in Old Staple-edge Wood around SO 64929 10114 singing and showing, often high in the Beech canopy until 3:15pm at least. (Alan Boddington). At Nagshead seven Pied Flycatchers this morning. (Peter Coslett/Barry Dursley). At Mitcheldean three juvenile Starlings being fed on the bird table. A Kestrel hunting over local fields this week and House Martins showing interest in the nest on the house but haven’t settled. (Chris Keeling).

May Hill     This morning 15+ Meadow Pipits, 5+ Linnets, three Tree Pipits, two Garden Warblers, two Redstarts , a Goshawk and a pair of Crossbills feeding in the pines on the summit. (William Lambourne).

Coombe Hill Meadows    From Grundon hide today 70 Black-headed Gulls, 15 Mute Swans, 14 Shelducks, 12 Canada Geese, five Greylags, four Little Egrets, four Oystercatchers, two Curlews, Lapwing, Skylark and 34 Mallards with nine ducklings. Also today two Wigeon, seven Shovelers, 13 Gadwalls, two Tufted Ducks, three Redshanks, two Avocets, a Little Ringed Plover, six Coots, two Moorhens and two Cetti’s Warblers. (Ian Ralphs).

WWT Slimbridge     A Little Ringed Plover on South Lake. (Dot Jones).

Stroud    Two Grey Wagtails on the culvert by the cinema today. (Donna Cook).

Gloucester     At Over beside the Herefordshire-Gloucestershire canal this morning birds included two Kingfishers, six Blackcaps, three Chiffchaffs, two Willow Warblers, two Great Spotted Woodpeckers, a Green Woodpecker, a Kestrel, four Mute Swans (two cygnets), five Mallards, two Cormorants, three Swifts, two Swallows and nine House Martins. Stanley Downton     A Whitethroat, three Buzzards, four Ravens, eight Swallows, a Chiffchaff and a Grey Heron. (Paul Sutton).

Eastington     A Dipper, a Chaffinch, a Chiffchaff, two Buzzards and two Grey Wagtails. Also Beautiful and Banded Demoiselle, Emerald, Common Blue, Blue-tailed and Red-eyed Damselflies and Orange Tip, Holly Blue, Large White, Small Tortoiseshell and Peacock butterflies. (Paul Sutton).

Witcombe Reservoirs     A Common Sandpiper, a Whitethroat and a Great Crested Grebe pair with two small young. (Eric Harris).

Chapmans Cross     A Hobby flew E at 8:20am. At Cranhill Barn 8+ Skylarks, 30 Linnets, a Whitethroat, two Corn Buntings, six Swallows and two House Martins. (MK).

Chavenage     This morning three Whitethroats, two Linnets, four Corn Buntings, three Yellowhammers and 10+ Skylarks. (MK).
