WWT Slimbridge     The male WHITE-SPOTTED BLUETHROAT showing today on and off on stick perches at Middle Point. Generally it is very elusive and requires time and patience. (Martin McGill et al). The BLACK-WINGED STILT on South Lake before relocating on the Rushy late in the day but not for long. Three drake GARGANEYS on the Rushy today. (Slimbridge Sightings). Three Red Kites over the car park at 1pm. (Carol Rushton & Steve Curtis).

Forest of Dean    The IBERIAN CHIFFCHAFF still in Old Staple-edge Wood around SO 64929 10114 singing and showing, often high in the Beech canopy. (Jake Klavins). Coombe Hill Meadows     Three Ringed Plovers, a Snipe, a Common Sandpiper, a Curlew and a Water Rail near the car park. A Garden Warbler singing from the tow path. (Ian Hull). Also along the canal seven Lesser Whitethroats, a pair of Bullfinches, two Chaffinches, a Song Thrush and a Little Egret. From the Grundon hide birds included 11 Mute Swans, four Canada Geese, five Grey Herons, three Little Egrets,  a Redshank, an Avocet, four Lapwings, two Swifts a Reed Warbler, a Skylark and a Swallow. From the New hide birds included ten Mute Swans, four Shovelers, two Grey Herons, a Sparrowhawk, an Oystercatcher and a Common Crane. (Howard Taylor).

Frampton     At least eight Hobbies and a Red Kite over Court Lake and a Great Spotted Woodpecker feeding young in a nest on one of the islands this afternoon. (Terry Grant).

Avening     Just S of the village at lunch time six Yellowhammers, a Lesser Whitethroat, three Whitethroats, five Skylarks and three Linnets. (Steve Pullen).

Daneway Banks     This afternoon two Redstarts, two Green Woodpeckers, two Buzzards, two Stock Doves, a Skylark, four Goldcrests and three Ravens. Also Muntjacs barking in the woods and good numbers of Common Blue and Brown Argus butterflies. (Steve Pullen).
