WWT Slimbridge     The male BLACK-WINGED STILT around the grounds today. Four Greenshanks and a pair of Common Terns on the Top New Piece. (Slimbridge Sightings). A CATTLE EGRET on the Tack Piece at 11:55am then flew N. (Julian Gould). Two drake GARGANEYS on the Rushy early morning. Also a Grey Plover from Middle Point. (Mark Hobson). Also a Little Ringed Plover on the Rushy today. (Nigel Young).

Purton     An adult breeding plumage CATTLE EGRET flew NE upriver past Purton at 2:50pm. (Francis Steuck).

Coombe Hill Meadows    Four Little Ringed Plovers, nine Ringed Plovers, a Dunlin, two Oystercatchers, seven Redshanks, two Curlews, two Yellow Wagtails, two Swifts, a Little Egret, a Little Grebe chick, a Garden Warbler, Sedge Warblers, a Lesser Whitethroat and a Whitethroat. Also a Roebuck. Along the canal a Redstart, a Chiffchaff, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Cetti’s Warbler, a Skylark and a Little Owl. (Les Ditchburn).

Dymock     12 Red Kites, two Buzzards, two Kestrels, 20+ Lesser Black-backed gulls and 50+ corvids all taking good advantage of silaging. (Eden Tanner).

Forest of Dean     At Woorgreens two Garden Warblers, a Goshawk and a Downy Emerald dragonfly. (Eden Tanner).

Stanley Downton    At least eight Red Kites, 24+ Buzzards, a Kestrel, three Ravens and two Hobby sightings, probably the same one over grass cutting in the fields. (Paul Sutton).

Whitminster     Three Red Kites at 4pm high over Highfields Garden Centre slowly heading NE. (Tim McGrath).

Norton    Lots of Raven activity today with both juveniles and the adults on numerous training flights. A Buzzard and a Red Kite over this afternoon and two Great Spotted Woodpeckers visiting a nest hole. (David Lawrence).

Quedgeley     A Red Kite and a Hobby high over the garden at 5:30pm. (Steve Pullen).
