WWT Slimbridge     The male BLACK-WINGED STILT still today around the grounds. A drake GARGANEY and three Greenshanks from Zeiss hide. A Little Ringed Plover, a drake Pochard and a Common Sandpiper on South Lake. (Slimbridge Sightings).

Slimbridge village     A Peregrine on the church tower this morning. (Scott Petrek).

Frampton      Around Court Lake this morning an elusive Spotted Flycatcher, a Cuckoo, a Kingfisher, a Sparrowhawk, a Common Tern, two Reed Warblers and two Cetti’s Warblers. (MK). At least five Hobbies over Court Lake this afternoon, also a Red Kite,  two Oystercatchers on one of the islands, the Ross’s Goose and a Tufted Duck with two ducklings. (Terry Grant).

Cheltenham     At Pittville Lawn a Great Spotted Woodpecker being pursued by a female Blackbird. (Howard Taylor).

Gloucester     At Horsebere Brook FSA a Mute Swan, three Mallards, four Reed Buntings, a Yellow Wagtail, two Linnets, a Whitethroat, two Skylarks on adjacent farmland and five Stock Doves. (Paul Brunt).

Maisemore     This afternoon a Hobby, a Kingfisher, ten House Martins, four Sand Martins, five Swifts, two Swallows, five Blackcaps, a Willow Warbler, seven Chiffchaffs, three Goldfinches, three Song Thrushes, a Pied Wagtail, a Whitethroat, a drake Tufted Duck, five Mallards, seven Moorhens including two chicks, two Red-legged Partridges, two Great Spotted Woodpeckers, a Greenfinch, three Little Egrets, a Buzzard and two Mute Swans. (John Fletcher).

Cleeve Hill     Between West Down car park and Belas Knap long barrow today a Willow Warbler, a Chiffchaff, a Blackcap, a Whitethroat, a Lesser Whitethroat, a Swallow and a Swift. At Belas Knap two pairs of Redstarts, a Red Kite, a Kestrel, a Buzzard and a Raven. Also Dingy Skipper, Small Tortoiseshell, Red Admiral, Holly Blue, Small Heath butterflies and a Burnet Companion moth. (Keith White).

Stanley Downton     Over the silage fields today six Red Kites, 11 Buzzards, two Kestrels and a Hobby over late evening. Also Whitethroats around the hedgerows and several Greenfinches by the sewage works. (Paul Sutton).
