Breadstone A Spotted Flycatcher in Breadstone Wood this evening along the path behind the house at the entrance. (Brian Kings).
Forest of Dean At Pope’s Hill a female Hawfinch on the bird table today clearly carrying away sunflower hearts to feed young. Also an adult male Great Spotted Woodpecker with a juvenile on the peanut feeder. (Harvey Sherwood).
Coombe Hill Meadows Today birds included a Snipe, a Curlew, Lapwings with young, four Avocets with three young, three Little Ringed Plovers, a Redshank, a Great White Egret, a Little Egret, four Grey Herons, a pair of Wigeon, two Cormorants, a Red Kite, a Cuckoo, a Yellow Wagtail, four Pied Wagtails, two Whitethroats, two Chiffchaffs, three Blackcaps, three Sedge Warblers, Reed Warblers, a Lesser Whitethroat, three Cetti’s Warblers, four Long-tailed Tits and two male Yellowhammers.
