WWT Slimbridge    A breeding plumage CATTLE EGRET on the Rushy early and later on South Lake. Also three male Ruffs. (Martin McGill). The BLACK-WINGED STILT and two Spotted Redshanks on the Rushy. The male WHITE-SPOTTED BLUETHROAT showing again this morning on reedbed perches.  Open to WWT members from 8:15am (have your membership card with you), normal access for all via admissions from 9:30am. (Slimbridge Sightings/Neil Smart).

Newnham-on-Severn     Birds today included three Spotted Flycatchers, seven Swifts, a Red Kite and a Great White Egret. (David Smith).

Gloucester     On Alney Island at 3:30pm today, a male Redstart near the wind turbine by the cycleway at SO821184 First Ian has seen on the Island in 20+ years. (Ian Elphick).

Saul Warth     On the falling tide between 12:30-2pm 95 Avocets, 18 Curlews, 100+ Shelducks and nine ducklings, three Oystercatchers, a Cormorant and ten Swallows. (MK).

Bourton-on-the-Water     From Field Barn camping park birds included two Hobbies, five Red Kites, two Grey Partridges, four Gadwalls, six Great Crested Grebes, 27 Swallows, four Meadow Pipits, seven Skylarks, 36 Goldfinches, four Chaffinches, two Bullfinches, seven Linnets and eight Yellowhammers. Around the lakes (SP1720) 84 Canada Geese, 13 Greylags, 17 Mallards, two Great Crested Grebes, four Little Egrets, five Grey Herons, 15 Coots, two Cormorants, four Red Kites, two Green Woodpeckers, five Swifts, six Chiffchaffs and two Bullfinches.
