Saul Warth At 6:15am for high tide, a Turnstone, 52 Curlews, 58 Avocets, a Black-tailed Godwit, three Dunlins, two Ringed Plovers, three Oystercatchers, 21 Shelducks, three Grey Herons, two Little Egrets, a Common Tern, seven Stock Doves, two Kestrels, a Sparrowhawk, 15+ Swallows, 15 Goldfinches, two Linnets, two Chiffchaffs and a Reed Warbler singing from Hock Ditch reedbed. Nailsworth A trickle of Swifts flying S, most of them during bad weather when a party of 50+ stopped to feed over the valley. Yesterday a Hobby caught a Swift and carried it away. (Terry Grant).
