WWT Slimbridge     Two Wood Sandpipers today, one at Zeiss hide and a mobile bird seen on the Tack Piece and the Rushy. Also from Zeiss hide four SPOONBILLS, a BITTERN, two Great White Egrets, two Cattle Egrets and a juvenile Spotted Redshank. (Ian Hull/Tim Jukes/Geoff Moyser/Jonathan Bull). Early morning two Wheatears, a MERLIN, a Hobby and a Marsh Harrier from the riverbank. (Scott Petrek).

Saul Warth     Early morning a SPOONBILL feeding at the Noose with a Great White Egret and three Little Egrets, also 128 Greylags, 123 Canada Geese, 84 Shelducks, 57 Curlews, three Common Sandpipers, a Little Owl, two Skylarks, a Yellow Wagtail, three Mistle Thrushes, 4+ Chiffchaffs and a male Blackcap. The same or another immature SPOONBILL flew S over the sewage works at 8:58am. (Mike Davis/MK).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This morning a female Marsh Harrier hunting around North scrape, six Little Egrets, seven Stock Doves, three Grey Herons and a Red Kite. Four Roe Deer feeding under the Grundon hide window. (Les Ditchburn).

Nailsworth     Still a nestful of juvenile House Martins in a nest in Market Street. (Jake King).

Chavenage Lane area     A Hobby, 130+ Linnets, 40+ warblers including at least seven Willow Warblers and a Red-legged Partridge which walked at Mrs Grant’s feet for c150 yards. (Terry Grant).

Gloucester     At Horsbere Brook Flood Storage area this afternoon a Swift, a Peregrine, a Reed Warbler, c10 Barn Swallows, c6 House Martins, two Chiffchaffs, c30 Linnets, a Green Woodpecker and four Buzzards. (Rob Crofton).

Stonebench     A male Blackbird feeding nestlings at the end of Weir Lane today. (Jon Haw).
