WWT Slimbridge     A BITTERN from Zeiss hide on the island to the left at 10:25am. (Phil Pope). Also a WOOD SANDPIPER HERE. (Magnus Carter). On the estuary over the tide five Curlew Sandpipers, five Little Stints, 20 Sanderlings, two Turnstone, two Knot, 189 Dunlins, 254 Ringed Plovers, two SPOONBILLS and the Harbour Seal. Two Garganeys and four Spotted Redshanks on the Rushy and two Garganeys from Kingfisher hide. (Slimbridge Sightings). A Water Rail from Knott hide this afternoon. (Roy Kinchin).

Slimbridge village     This morning a Peregrine perched on a garden wall near the church after taking down a Collared Dove. (Jonathan Bull).

Purton     Late morning/early afternoon two Little Stints, eight Curlew Sandpipers, four Sanderlings, 200 Ringed Plovers and 100 Dunlins on the estuary. Also a Spotted Flycatcher, a Hobby, a Great White Egret, 100 Swallows and 25 Siskins. (Francis Steuck).

Saul Warth     Early morning at high tide three Grey Herons, five Little Egrets, 56 Shelducks, 204 Curlews, a Common Sandpiper, two Chiffchaffs, a Blackcap and a Jay. (MK).

Elmore Court     At the Rewilding Project from the public footpath along Broadmeadow Bank Ditch birds today included 35 Lapwings, a fly-over Golden Plover, two Snipe, a Greenshank, two Green Sandpipers, two Ravens, a juvenile Hobby, a Kingfisher, 18 Mistle Thrushes and a Grey Wagtail. Hobby and Golden Plover are new for the site. (Andy Jayne).
