Cotswold Water Park East     A GREY PHALAROPE for 20 minutes this morning on Pit 104, before being flushed by stick throwing dog walker, and no further sign. (Mick Jones).

Frampton     The OSPREY again today on Court Lake. Also a Red Kite, a Goshawk, an adult and a juvenile Hobby, two Buzzards and a female Kingfisher. (Steve Money/Paul Sutton/Andy Jayne/Terry Grant/Nick Goatman). Eight Cattle Egrets came into roost at 6:20pm. (Nick Goatman).

WWT Slimbridge     A DARK-BELLIED BRENT GOOSE came up on the tide. From Zeiss hide a Marsh Harrier, a WOOD SANDPIPER, six Sanderlings, three Curlew Sandpipers, six Snipe, 36 Ruff, nine Golden Plovers, a Greenshank, four Little Stints, 90 Ringed Plovers, 300 Dunlins and three Spotted Redshanks. Saul Warth     At high tide a DARK-BELLIED BRENT GOOSE drifted up from WWT, also 83 Curlews, three Common Sandpipers, a Great White Egret, three Little Egrets, four Cattle Egrets (then flew to field by the road and joined two more and five Little Egrets with brown cows), 24 Meadow Pipits, seven Swallows and a Peregrine. Cleeve Hill     This morning 11 Lesser Redpolls over, c15 Siskins, c20 Chaffinches and Goldfinches, c100 Meadow Pipits in small flocks, c15 Yellowhammers, a few Chiffchaffs, two Marsh Tits, two Wheatears and three Stonechats. (Tom Mabbett).

Stroud     A Canada Goose and a small Canada Goose species flying E at 8:10am and a party of four Great White Egrets also flew E at 8:45am. A small southerly trickle of hirundines comprising c25 Swallows and 10 House Martins. (Terry Grant).

Stonehouse      The first Little Grebe of the autumn, on the canal at Boakes Drive and a male Kingfisher at the Ocean. (Paul Sutton).

Winchcombe     At Hayles Fruit Farm camping site and surrounding areas two Tawny Owls calling, 37 Meadow Pipits, 43 Swallows, a Willow Warbler, nine Long-tailed Tits, a Green Woodpecker, a Pied Wagtail, four Nuthatches, three Jays, four Ravens, two Red Kites, three Buzzards, a Moorhen and two Mute Swans. Ashleworth Ham     Total catch of 63 birds including 21 Meadow Pipits, nine Chiffchaffs, seven Blackcaps, a Cetti’s Warbler, five Reed Buntings, a Treecreeper and 12 Goldfinches. (Mike Smart/Mervyn Greening).
