WWT Slimbridge     At 9am two GREAT SKUAS flew downriver seen from Zeiss hide. Also five SPOONBILLS, a WOOD SANDPIPER, four Curlew Sandpipers, five Little Stints, six Sanderlings, six Ruff, 285 Dunlins and 97 Ringed Plovers. (Martin McGill/James Robinson). Six Spotted Redshanks on the Rushy. (Terry Stevenson). A Goshawk over the Tack Piece this morning. (Ian Sherriffs).

Frampton     The OSPREY on Court Lake on and off throughout the day. Also nine Cattle Egrets, 5+ Little Egrets, a Great White Egret, 15 Cormorants, 18 Shovelers, two Wigeon, four Gadwalls, 23 Pied Wagtails, seven Chiffchaffs, a Kingfisher, two Hobbies, a Goshawk, two Common Cranes, eight Mistle Thrushes, 2+ Ravens, 22 Swallows and 15 House Martins. Forest of Dean     Belated news for 29th September, an OSPREY at the upper pond at Cannop Ponds, showing between 3-3:35pm. It caught a fish and appeared to be unringed. (Mandy Graham). Seven Crossbills over the garden in Cinderford heading W towards Crabtree Hill. (Owen Follis).

Cleeve Hill     A male RING OUZEL above the Sheepwash this morning. Also a Wheatear. (Duncan Dine).

Saul Warth     At high tide mid-morning two Common Cranes N over the sewage works at 9:25am, a Great White Egret, two Little Egrets, 41 Shelducks, 87 Curlews, two Common Sandpipers, a female Marsh Harrier flew across the river from Awre to Frampton and eastward passage in small groups of 50 Meadow Pipits and 30 Swallows. Nailsworth     A steady stream of birds flying S between 7:25am and 8:25am after which it petered out. Birds included three Hawfinches, 30+ Chaffinches, 45+ Goldfinches, 70+ Meadow Pipits, 200+ Swallows and 185+ House Martins. (Terry Grant).

Winchcombe     A Grey Wagtail on the River Isbourne at Castle Street this morning. (Peter Rodgers). At Hayles fruit farm camping area two Tawny Owls heard, 37 Meadow Pipits, 43 Swallows, a Willow Warbler, nine Long-tailed Tits, a Green Woodpecker, four Nuthatches, three Jays, two Red Kites, four Ravens, three Buzzards, three Moorhens, a male Stonechat, a Cormorant and five Linnets. Leonard Stanley     A Peregrine on a pylon near Seven Waters at 6:30pm. (Paul Sutton).

Norton     This morning at 6:45am five Ravens flew over calling, followed by 25 more in small groups. (David Lawrence).
