Cotswold Water Park East     The juvenile PURPLE HERON still at Whelford Pools N.R. today. (Dave Morgan/Lisa Hume).

Cleeve Hill     A SHORT-EARED OWL perched on post at 5 pm then flew off hunting over the wash pool. (Jamie Brown). Two BLACK REDSTARTS showing really well around the buildings by the radio masts until 11:30am at least. (Duncan Dine).

WWT Slimbridge     On South Lake 908 Black-tailed Godwits, 153 Dunlins and eight Ruff today. The Lesser White-fronted Goose of unknown origin still with the Canada Goose flock on the Dumbles today. (Ian Hull). A MERLIN on the Dumbles eating prey. (Les Ditchburn).

Frampton     A Swallow over Court lake at lunchtime, also a Kingfisher 12 Wigeon 16 Tufted Ducks, 22 Gadwalls, two Cetti’s Warblers, 18 Cormorants, a Chiffchaff, five Siskin and a Mistle Thrush. (Nick Goatman).

Chavenage Lane     A male MERLIN, four Red Kites and 200+ Stock Doves today. (Terry Grant).

Nailsworth     The female MERLIN sat on a wall again. (Terry Grant).

Quedgeley     Two Cetti’s Warblers local to me in the marshy area next to Clearwater primary School this afternoon, also a juvenile Grey Wagtail in the ditch nearby. (Steve Pullen).

Stroud     At Fromehall Mill at lunchtime a pair of Mandarins on the millpond and a Grey Wagtail on the canal. (Richard Williams).
