Shepherd’s Patch, Slimbridge    Five Cattle Egrets at Shepherd’s Patch N of Rectory Farm, view from bend in road or footpaths cSO735042. Also two WHOOPER SWANS with 24+ Bewick’s Swans viewed from the towpath c400m NE of Patch Bridge – look NNW, four Common Cranes, a Little Egret over, c20 Redwings, 1+ Fieldfares and c30 Lapwings. Cotswold Water Park East    The Pink-footed Goose flew in alone and landed in flooded water meadow behind Pit 114 at 9:10am before relocating to Pit 127. On Pit 114 the SCAUP still, 82 Wigeon, 446 Teal, 20+ Pintails, 85 Red-Crested Pochards, 183 Pochards, 19 Tufted Ducks, six Goldeneyes, three Goosanders (2m, 1rh), five Little Egrets, two Great White Egrets, a Green Woodpecker and a drumming Great Spotted Woodpecker. Frampton     A Spotted Redshank with ten Redshanks at Splatt flashes this morning, also six Dunlin, five Snipe, a Marsh Harrier and a Red Kite. (Gordon Hodgson).

Brimscombe     From Knapp Lane bridge over the River Frome at SO 875020 at midday a pair of Dippers and a Little Egret. (Barry Hill).

Sharpness     Male and female-type BLACK REDSTARTS around the lightship in Dock Road again today. (Mike Davis/Lise Presland/Ian Hull).

Berkeley shore     A Turnstone at high tide today. (Greg Mabbett).
