WWT Slimbridge     A SPOONBILL arrived this morning and stayed throughout the day. Two WHOOPER SWANS on the Rushy at dawn, remaining for the feed. The juvenile DARK-BELLIED BRENT GOOSE, the Grey Plover, the Spotted Redshank and a MERLIN from Estuary Tower. A pair of Goldeneye, at least 42 Avocet and 12 Cattle Egrets on South Lake. (Slimbridge Sightings). Also a Ringed Plover on the Dumbles and a male Kingfisher from the Van de Bovenkamp hide. (Martin Price).

Saul Warth     This morning 104 Curlews, four Oystercatchers, a Common Sandpiper, 28 Shelducks, 15 Meadow Pipits, three Chiffchaffs and a pair of Stonechats. (MK).

Tirley     A Barn Owl this morning at Josend Crescent. (Robin Lewis).

Forest of Dean     At least six Hawfinches at Crown Lane, Parkend this morning. (Colin Henderson).

Fosseway     25 Lapwings on winter stubble at Fossehollow Farm viewed from the main road. (Harvey Sherwood).
