WWT Slimbridge     A SPOONBILL arrived this morning and stayed throughout the day. Two WHOOPER SWANS on the Rushy at dawn, remaining for the feed. The juvenile DARK-BELLIED BRENT GOOSE, the Grey Plover, the Spotted Redshank and a MERLIN from Estuary Tower. A pair of Goldeneye, at least 42 Avocet and 12 Cattle Egrets on South Lake. (Slimbridge Sightings). Also a Ringed Plover on the Dumbles and a male Kingfisher from the Van de Bovenkamp hide. Saul Warth     This morning 104 Curlews, four Oystercatchers, a Common Sandpiper, 28 Shelducks, 15 Meadow Pipits, three Chiffchaffs and a pair of Stonechats. (MK).

Tirley     A Barn Owl this morning at Josend Crescent. (Robin Lewis).
