WWT Slimbridge     The PALE-BELLIED BRENT GOOSE with the DARK-BELLIED BRENT GOOSE on the Dumbles from Estuary Tower. Also the Ross’s Goose and seven unringed Common Cranes. The Spotted Redshank on the Tack Piece and a Chiffchaff by the Estuary Tower. A Marsh Harrier, a Little Grebe and a Stonechat from Kingfisher hide. Two Cattle Egrets, a sinensis Cormorant on South Lake and a drake Goldeneye in the Eider pen. (Chris Moore/Helen Bojaniwska/MK).

Forest of Dean     Three Red Kites over Parkend heading towards Whitecroft today. (Sharon Croome).

Twyning    On Upham Meadow five Greylags, 40 Canada Geese, five Mallard, a Grey Heron, two Oystercatchers, 16 Curlews and three Skylarks singing. (Mike Smart).

Tewkesbury     At Mythe Hook four Mute Swans, two Greylags, ten Canada Geese, 140 Wigeon, 22 Tufted Ducks, two Little Grebes, a Great Crested Grebe, a Great White Egret, two Grey Herons, four Cormorants, two Oystercatchers heard and two Skylarks singing. (Mike Smart).

Highnam     Along the restored short stretch of the Herefordshire Gloucester canal two Goldcrests, three Long tailed Tits, a Song Thrush, a Great Spotted Woodpecker drumming, seven Mute Swans (2 ads, 5 cygnets), a Canada Goose, three Mallards, two Moorhens, a Buzzard and a Grey Heron. Halmore     Garden birds today included five Chaffinches, two Greenfinches, two Long-Tailed Tits, a Coal Tit and the first Siskin of the winter. (Chris Newton).
