Stroud     c30 WAXWINGS in trees by the allotment car park at Gainey’s Well at 5:40pm, near the Playhouse Recreation Park. Then flew towards the town centre after a few minutes. (Mrs Watts).

Charlton Kings   A WAXWING at the junction of Bradley Road and Cirencester Road from 8:30-11:30am at least. (Jon Mercer/Mark Dowie).

WWT Slimbridge    A 2cy LITTLE GULL feeding over the Tack Piece and also on South Lake. Also a Mediterranean Gull and 55 Avocets on South Lake. On the Rushy a Spotted Redshank and two Egyptians Geese this morning. A male MERLIN early morning from Estuary Tower. Two WHOOPER SWANS and Bewick’s Swan and a Knot on the Tack Piece.  Three Kingfishers from Kingfisher hide (2m, 1f). Frampton     A LITTLE GULL on Court Lake this afternoon. (Nick Goatman/Mike Davis).

Forest of Dean    Two FIRECRESTS at Whitecroft this afternoon. (Thomas Winstone). In fields beyond Clearwell along Rookery Lane three singing Skylarks, two singing Song Thrushes, a Red Kite, a Buzzard, 25+ Carrion Crows and two Canada Geese. (Alan Waterman). At Pope’s Hill the garden feeders attracting over 30 Siskins daily. A pair of Hawfinches and a pair of Stock Doves also. (Harvey Sherwood). At Crown Lane, Parkend, a female Hawfinch with four Greenfinches, several Chaffinches and two Nuthatches. By St Paul’s Church, Parkend, a female Bullfinch and two Crossbills. (Chris Newton).

Wotton-Under-Edge     At the lake at Swinhay House at ST72758 93458 an Egyptian Goose, 29 Canada Geese, 23 Greylags, nine Tufted Ducks, two Teal, seven Mallards and two Mute Swans. (Mike Tranter).

Longney     Two Common Cranes flew NE over the river this morning. (Sarah Batt).

Saul Warth     This afternoon on the Warth six Gadwalls, seven Mallards, 12 Shelducks, ten Coots, two pairs of Mute Swans and two Grey Herons. Also 93 Curlews, five Mandarins, two Skylarks, a Meadow Pipit, a Redwing, five Chiffchaffs, three Linnets and a Red Kite flew E. (MK).

Coombe Hill Meadows    Four Mute Swans, three Canada Geese, two Shelducks, 40+ Wigeon, three Gadwall, c100 Teal, 20 Mallards, 40 Pintails, 35 Shovelers, 50+ Tufted Ducks, two Great Crested Grebes, at least three Little Grebes, 20 Coots, five Little Egrets, four Buzzards, two Oystercatchers, 9+ Lapwings, 9+ Curlews, a Redshank, at least five singing Skylarks, at least eight singing Chiffchaffs and three singing Reed Buntings. Cobney Meadows     Five Mute Swans, 20 Teal, 37 Shelducks, two Oystercatchers, nine Curlews and two Chiffchaffs singing today. (Mike Smart).

Ashleworth Ham     Ten Canada Geese, 15 Wigeon, 20 Teal, 12 Mallards, four Pintails, four Tufted Ducks, two Coots and two Chiffchaffs singing. (Mike Smart).

Stonehouse     In the Bond’s Mill area a Cetti’s Warbler calling briefly, a pair of Bullfinches on scrub below Hoffman’s Dam, four Chiffchaffs, four Jays, a Grey Heron and seven singing Wrens. (Paul Sutton).

Nailsworth     Amongst the birds visiting the garden feeders today included a male and female Brambling, 40+ Siskins, 25+ Goldfinches and eight Greenfinches. (Terry Grant).
