Purton     A WILLOW WARBLER late afternoon, also a Rock Pipit, 18 Curlews, 10+ Chiffchaffs and two Blackcaps. (Francis Steuck).

Frampton     Around the pools this morning 16+ singing Chiffchaffs and a Blackcap. (Roy Bircher). This afternoon the LITTLE GULL still and the Ross’s Goose on Court Lake. (Nick Goatman). On the flashes from the towpath N of Splatt Bridge a Great White Egret, a Little Egret, 12 Gadwalls, a Barnacle Goose, three Redshanks, a pair of Oystercatchers, a Kingfisher, a Cetti’s Warbler, two Chiffchaffs and a Mistle Thrush this afternoon. Saul Warth    This afternoon a female Wigeon, a pair of Gadwalls, five Mallards, 17 Shelducks, a pair of Greylags, five Mute Swans, 12 Coots and 98 Curlews on the river. (MK).

Forest of Dean     At Nagshead today a LESSER SPOTTED WOODPECKER heard at 11:05am, two Ravens, two Buzzards, a male FIRECREST, 20 Siskins, four Goldcrests, a Treecreeper, 17 Nuthatches, 12 Bramblings and three Great Spotted Woodpeckers. (Ken Heron).

WWT Slimbridge     An adult SPOONBILL on the Top New Piece. Ten Cattle Egrets and 45 Avocets on South Lake. Two WHOOPER SWANS on the Rushy. (Paul Masters/Magnus Carter). From Kingfisher hide, both male and female Kingfishers on show all afternoon and mating at 4pm. From Zeiss hide, a Mediterranean Gull amongst 11 Black-headed Gulls and 100+ White-fronted Geese. Winchcombe     Two Marsh Tits at Sudeley Castle this afternoon. (Andy Goodey).

Stonehouse     In fields below Bond’s Mill six Little Egrets, two Grey Herons, six Cormorants and a large flock of Goldfinches. Three Buzzards over the cricket pitch and the Ebley bypass. (Paul Sutton).

Stroud     Neat the Painswick brook from Tesco to the canal c30 Siskin in Alders, three Commas and three Brimstone butterflies. At Thrupp Chiffchaffs calling all along the canal path. A male and female Goosander at 11:30am near the Brewery. (Paul Sutton).
