Woodchester    c30 WAXWINGS flew E along the Woodchester Valley at 2pm. (Mark Hobson).

Charlton Kings    A WAXWING again at the junction of Bradley Road and Cirencester Road between 5-6pm. Its visits are now infrequent. (Lucy Martin).

Newnham-on-Severn     At 4:15pm an OSPREY flew over slowly heading N being hassled by gulls. (Tim McGrath).

Frampton     From the canal at Splatt Bridge early morning, an immature SPOONBILL flew into the 100-Acre at 7:07am and was chased off an hour later by a gull. Also nine Little Egrets, seven Pochards (6m, 1f), a Kingfisher, ten Sand Martins, three Cetti’s Warblers, a Willow Warbler, two Chiffchaffs and a male Reed Bunting. (MK). Around the pools an adult Yellow-legged Gull, a Red Kite, two Willow Warblers, 65 Chiffchaffs, 18 Blackcaps, six Cetti’s Warblers, five Siskins, two Reed Buntings, two Oystercatchers, a drake Mandarin, an Egyptian Goose, 46 Barnacle Geese, 15 Greylags and a Raven. Forest of Dean     At Cinderford brick works this morning, four Hawfinches, three singing Blackcaps, four Chiffchaffs, a Crossbill over and a LESSER SPOTTED WOODPECKER calling. (Owen Follis).

Nailsworth     A FIRECREST singing in ivy clad trees along the cycleway opposite Dunkirk Mill ponds this morning. 20+ Siskins in the alders and a Blackcap in full song. (Jon Haw).

Amberley     On the common above the village a steady stream of Meadow Pipits flying N c150 in 20 minutes at 11:30am. (Jon Haw).

Stroud     A pair of Mandarins on Stratford Park lake today. (Geoff Moyser).

Cheltenham     A Chiffchaff calling near Pittville Gates. (Howard Taylor).
