WWT Slimbridge     On South Lake today an adult KITTIWAKE, an immature SPOONBILL, a GARGANEY, a Goldeneye, a pair of Egyptian Geese, a nesting pair of Common Cranes, five MEDITERRANEAN GULLS, 30 Avocets, c40 Black-tailed Godwits, a Common Sandpiper and a Green Sandpiper. A Whimbrel and five White Wagtails from Estuary Tower. (Slimbridge Sightings/Martin Price/Terry Stevenson). Two SPOONBILLS, one from Zeiss hide and one at South Finger. Several Sedge Warblers around the site, a Green Sandpiper and two Common Sandpiper at South Finger hide, another Common Sandpiper from Robbie Garnett hide and a Little Grebe from Willow hide. Cleeve Hill     11 Wheatears this morning, mainly close to the radio masts. (Duncan Dine).

Minchinhampton Common     A female Wheatear on the Common near the sports field this morning. (Jon Haw).

Woodford     A male Goosander this afternoon on the Little Avon river N of Woodford, then flew off towards Berkeley. (Derek Edmondson).

Netheridge Farm     A Red Kite flew N at 1:24pm at Netheridge Bridge. (Mark Hobson).

Elmore Court     In the rewilding area this afternoon a Lesser Whitethroat, a Stonechat, a Tawny Owl hooting, four Little Grebes, four Gadwalls, a Little Egret, two Lapwings, a Red Kite, two Green Woodpeckers, six Skylarks, eight Linnets, two Reed Buntings, four Swallows and 20+ Sand Martins. Coombe Hill Meadows     The Grundon hide is just accessible with wellingtons. Birds included a Mute Swan, two Egyptian Geese, seven Shelducks, two Wigeon, a Teal, 15 Gadwalls, ten Mallards, 30 Shovelers, 45 Tufted Ducks, five Great Crested Grebes, two Little Grebes, 20 Coots, c10 Lapwings, two Little Ringed Plovers, a Redshank, two Curlews and singing Redstart, Reed Warbler, Sedge Warbler, Whitethroat, Lesser Whitethroat and Chiffchaff. Cobney Meadows     Wainlodes Road now open. Nine Mute Swans, a Shelduck, six Gadwalls, seven Tufted Ducks, four Little Egrets, a breeding plumaged Cattle Egret, an immature Grey Heron, three Greenshanks and a Redstart singing. (Mike Smart).
