Highnam Woods     A Nightingale singing early this morning. (Paul Masters).

WWT Slimbridge     A drake GARGANEY on South Lake this morning. Also a Whimbrel. (Slimbridge Sightings/Roberta Goodall).

Coombe Hill Meadows     A drake GARGANEY from Grundon hide this morning. (Les Ditchburn). Also today five Little Egrets, two Great White Egrets, two Grey Herons, three Redshanks, two Lapwings, two Avocets, 19 Gadwalls, seven Shovelers, four Tufted Ducks, a Cattle Egret, a Buzzard, an Oystercatcher, a Reed Bunting, a Great Black-backed Gull, a Linnet, a Skylark, Whitethroats, Chiffchaffs, Lesser Whitethroats and Sedge Warblers. (Chris Moore).

Forest of Dean     At Crabtree Hill Tree Pipit, Wood Warbler and Garden Warbler all singing today. (Dot Jones).

Frampton    16 Common Terns on the sailing lake this evening, most departed at 7:30pm. Also four Oystercatchers. (Nick Goatman). Also the Ross’s Goose today. (Karle Burford/Paul Sutton).

Longney     Six Whimbrels, a Redshank and at least one 2nd year Yellow-legged Gull at lunchtime. (Jeremy Squire).

Gloucester     Along the canal at Over this morning several Chiffchaffs, a Green Woodpecker, a Buzzard, a Kingfisher and two Treecreepers. Also Azure and Large Red Damselflies. (Paul Clark).

Tirley     Two Hobbies today. (Robin Lewis).

Aylburton Common     Birds today included a Buzzard, three Goldfinches, 13 Blackbirds, nine House Martins building nests under the eaves on a house on Chapel Hill and five Swallows. (John Meadows).
