Sherborne     The OSPREY this afternoon to the E of the Estate flying near Picardy Copse further E along Sherborne brook. (Luke Hunter).

WWT Slimbridge     The WHITE-SPOTTED BLUETHROAT showed again at Middle Point this morning. Also a SHORT-EARED OWL from the Shepherd’s hut. A Cuckoo from Knott hide. (Roy Kinchin/Mike Davis). A Greenshank on the Tack Piece. (Dan Northside).

Quedgeley     A Hobby slowly passed low over the garden this evening with 10+ Swallows in pursuit. (Steve Pullen).

Ebley     Late afternoon 50+ Swifts hawking over the riverside trees along the bypass. (Steve Pullen).

Ashleworth Ham     This afternoon a Cuckoo, 56 Mallards, a Canada Goose, nine Greylags, (6 ads, 3 goslings), two Grey Herons, a Little Egret, a Little Grebe, a Great White Egret, a Jay, a male Gadwall, two Blackcaps, two Chiffchaffs, two Swallows and three Song Thrushes. (John Fletcher).
