WWT Slimbridge     The WHITE-SPOTTED BLUETHROAT showed well at Middle Point this morning. Also a Marsh Harrier here. From Zeiss hide a pair of Common Cranes with chicks. (Heather England/Rachel Thomas).

Frampton     At Splatt Bridge early morning two Great White Egrets, two Little Egrets, three Grey Herons, a pair of Black Swans, four Gadwalls, two Shovelers, two pairs of Tufted Ducks two Oystercatchers, 6+Redshanks, three Cuckoos (2m, 1f), a Kingfisher, two Jays and three Swifts. Around the pools lots of Blackcaps and Long-tailed Tits, the first baby Black-headed Gull hatched, 150+ Swifts, 30+ House Martins, 10+ Sand Martins, a Hobby, two Spotted Flycatchers, six Common Terns, a male Pochard, three Shelducks and 15 Tufted Ducks. Coombe Hill Meadows     This morning four Great White Egrets, three Little Egrets, 20+ Mute Swans, a pair of Shovelers, a drake Garganey, two Oystercatchers, two Little Ringed Plovers, 4+ Lapwings, a Curlew, nine Avocets (6 ads, 3 juvs), a summer-plumaged Dunlin, two Cuckoos, four Yellow Wagtails, two Pied Wagtails, a Whitethroat, a Lesser Whitethroat, a Reed Bunting and a Sedge Warbler. Upham Meadows     Two Curlews and 50 Carrion Crows today. (Mike Smart).

Ashleworth Ham     Five Greylags (a pair with 3 goslings), a Canada Goose, 135 Mallards and a family of 3 ducklings and a Cuckoo singing. (Mike Smart).
