Walmore Common     A least six Whinchats this morning. (Steve Rickard).

WWT Slimbridge     This morning around the grounds a Great White Egret, seven Common Cranes, including two pairs each with a juvenile. At least 14 Little Egrets on the reserve and more on the river, 10+ Grey Herons, Reed Warblers, one with a juvenile, a juvenile Kingfisher, three Green Sandpipers, three Little Ringed Plovers, c50 Black-tailed Godwits from the Hogarth hide, a Kingfisher taking food to the nest bank at Kingfisher hide and a Little Grebe feeding a youngster. Also Common Darters, Emperors and Black-tailed Skimmers. (Paul Sutton). On South Lake 253 Black-tailed Godwit, a Spotted Redshank, three Ruff, six Redshanks, six Green Sandpipers and an Avocet. (Ian Hull). At Middle Point a brief Grasshopper Warbler reeling near the cross fence. (Tim Jukes).

Coombe Hill Meadows     A Great White Egret, two Little Egrets, a Grey Heron, a Cormorant, a Greenshank and two Common Terns. Also Emperor dragonfly, Banded demoiselle, Common Blue Damselfly, Scarce Chaser, Black-tailed Skimmer and Ruddy Darter. (Alan McIlquham/Ian Ralphs).
