Cleeve Hill    In bushes near the masts at 12:30pm a WRYNECK, two Whinchats, a Wheatear, Stonechats and a small fall of Chiffchaffs and Willow Warblers. (Mark Dowie).

WWT Slimbridge     Eight COMMON SCOTERS on the river off of Middle Point for most of the morning. Also a SPOONBILL, a Spotted Redshank, two Bar-tailed Godwits, two Hobbies, a Wheatear, a Stonechat, four Whinchats, a late Swift and a Turnstone over the Dumbles. Dowdeswell Reservoir     A COMMON SCOTER from 10:18am and then flew towards Charlton Kings at 11:40am. (Greg & Tom Mabbett).

Purton     This morning a SANDWICH TERN, 13 Common Terns and 1360 Swallow flew past this morning. (Francis Steuck).

Tuffley     A SANDWICH TERN over the house at 7:10am calling. (Mark Hobson).

Frampton     A SANDWICH TERN over the sailing lake and headed inland this morning. (Nick Goatman).

Saul Warth     At high tide eight distant COMMON SCOTERS (same as WWT birds), 212 Shelducks, eight Pintails, 63 Teal, 11 Little Egrets, four Grey Herons, three Greenshanks, a Common Sandpiper, five Curlews, a Ringed Plover heard, 177 Swallows flew W, 20+ House Martins, 12 Goldfinches, a Raven and three Chiffchaffs. Witcombe Reservoirs     This morning a late Swift in the mist and a Snipe, scarce here. (Andy Jayne).

Epney     An Avocet flew up river on the tide late morning. (Jeremy Squire).

Nailsworth     A movement of summer migrants this afternoon in the Chavenage Lane area, 75+ Chiffchaffs, at least four Willow Warblers, five Blackcaps, two Whitethroats, a Whinchat, a summer plumaged male Redstart, a Spotted Flycatcher, 140+ Swallows, 15+ House Martins, five Red Kites, four Kestrels and a male Goshawk. Eastleach area     At Macaroni Wood, a Marsh Harrier hunting the verge of the Fairford to Hatherop road viewed from the wood, four Buzzards, a Red Kite, a Green Woodpecker, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Jay, a Marsh Tit, two Nuthatches and Long Tailed Tits heard. (Steve Brown/ GNS meeting). At Hatherop, c10 each Swallows and House Martins and 1/2 Sand Martins, a Green Woodpecker and a Buzzard. (Steve Brown).

Elmore Court     In the rewilding area late afternoon today, three Little Egrets, two Grey Herons, a Green Sandpiper, two Buzzards, five Jays, six Swallows, 91 House Martins, a Skylark, three Chiffchaffs, a Whitethroat, a Nuthatch, six Whinchats, a Grey Wagtail, 19 Goldfinches and two Reed Buntings. Guscar Rocks/Aylburton Warth     At high tide ten Canada Geese, two Shelducks, three Wigeon, 40 Teal, five Mallards, 12 Grey Herons, two Little Egrets, 11 Ringed Plovers, four Knot, 400 Curlews, a Redshank, three Common Sandpipers, 100 Black-headed Gulls, five Common Gulls, 30 Swallows, ten House Martins, four Song Thrushes, 70 Linnets and 50 Goldfinches.
