Wednesday 11th September 2024

Frampton     An OSPREY on Court Lake from 9:12am until 10:15am when it was pushed off it’s perch by the adult Yellow-legged Gull. (Nigel Young/MK). Two OSPREYS from 11:20am until 2pm at least. Also a Peregrine and Hobby. (Martin Price/Chris Newton/Paul Rich/Nick Goatman). An OSPREY still there at 6:40pm and caught a couple of fish this evening. WWT Slimbridge     An OSPREY seen from the Rushy at 2:15pm and hanging around until 3pm, likely one of the Frampton birds. Late afternoon 20+ Pied Wagtails on the island in front of the Peng Observatory on the Rushy and at least two White Wagtails amongst them. (Tim McGrath). From Zeiss hide this morning the leucistic Marsh Harrier still. (Mike Davis).

Gloucester     A Ring-necked Parakeet on bird feeders in the garden at Kingsholm, this morning. (Paul Clark).

Highnam     Along the the renovated Hereford-Gloucester canal eight Mute Swans, two Moorhens, two Cormorants, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a few Chiffchaffs and a hunting Sparrowhawk. (John Fletcher).
