WWT Slimbridge     The PECTORAL SANDPIPER again today mainly from Zeiss hide but with a short visit to South Lake at lunchtime. The juvenile leucistic Marsh Harrier hunting over the Bottom New Piece today. (Slimbridge Sightings/Andy Jordan/Jeremy Holland).

Saul Warth     At high tide early morning seven Grey Herons, two Little Egrets, 60 Curlews, two Greenshanks, 21 Shelducks, two Buzzards, two Kestrels, a Whinchat, 20+ Goldfinches, a male Blackcap, five Chiffchaffs, two Reed Buntings, a Skylark, a Yellow Wagtail, a Grey Wagtail and 10+ Pied Wagtails. Gloucester     A Spotted Flycatcher at Plock Court Wildlife area today. Also a Chiffchaff a Buzzard and a Moorhen. (Jim Northcott).

Forest of Dean     A Hobby between Clearwell and Newland today. (Alan Waterman). At Forge Hill, Lydbrook a Chiffchaff singing this morning. (Chris Sullivan).

Alvington    Two Red Kites and a Hobby over Clanna Country Park today. (Paul Woolams).

Ashleworth Ham     A ringing session today caught 72 birds including five Blackcaps, ten Chiffchaff, 13 Long-tailed Tits, 27 Goldfinches, two Linnets, a Bullfinch and seven Reed Buntings. On the reserve ten Canada Geese, two Sparrowhawks, 30 Meadow Pipits and two Ravens. (Mervyn Greening/Stuart Brown/Mike Smart).
