Shortwood An OSPREY being mobbed by four Red Kites and several Buzzards over the house at 2:35pm. It headed NW over Forest Green Rovers stadium towards Woodchester Park. (Jon Haw).
Frampton At 1:30pm an OSPREY glided slowly N over the house towards Saul. (Gordon Hodgson). At Court Lake an OSPREY seen four times in flight, but distant. Also two Hobbies, a Peregrine and a Sparrowhawk. (John Fletcher). A GLOSSY IBIS flew over the sailing lake, two Grey Wagtails, 21 Cormorants, four Little Egrets and two Treecreepers. (Nick Goatman). WWT Slimbridge A GLOSSY IBIS flew over at 7:40am heading towards South Lake. (Slimbridge Sightings). Seven Greenshanks, three Green Sandpipers, four Snipe and a juvenile Water Rail on the Rushy. Also around the grounds three Marsh Harriers including the leucistic bird, two Buzzards, two Wheatears, 8+ Snipe, 3+ Spotted Redshanks, 8+ Ruff, 6+ Skylarks, 6+ Linnets, 3+ Meadow Pipits, a Reed Bunting and 13+ Common Cranes. Lydney to Aylburton Warth Migrants flying NE into the wind, 315 Swallows, 161 Meadow Pipits and eight Grey Wagtails. Also 30 Teal, a Ringed Plover, a Snipe, a Greenshank, a Great White Egret, four Little Egrets, two Whinchats, three Stonechats, three Wheatears, a Yellow Wagtail and 100 Linnets today. (Andy Jayne).
Gloucester Five Stonechats by the first tall pylon along the Severn Way past the Lower Parting double gate, two females by the second tall pylon and a male by the ‘Sheepdown’ (old tip area). A female Kestrel hunting over the area. Two juvenile male Sparrowhawks chasing each other around the tipping area. (Gordon Avery).
