Forest of Dean     An OSPREY flew high over Edge Hills going S this afternoon. (Owen Follis).

Rodley     This morning a SHORT-EARED OWL then headed off over the Severn to Longney. Also two Stonechats, a Whinchat, a Great White Egret and a Buzzard. (Rachel Thomas).

Saul Warth     Early morning two Greenshanks, ten Ringed Plovers, three Dunlins, 87 Curlews, 12 Grey Herons, a Little Egret, two Kestrels, 12 Skylarks flew S, nine Swallows, a Stonechat, four Reed Buntings, three Chiffchaffs, six Meadow Pipits, 20 Goldfinches, four Linnets and five Mistle Thrushes. WWT Slimbridge     22 Common Cranes gathering on the estuary viewed from the Shepherds Hut. Three Greenshanks on South Lake today. (Heather England).

Frampton    Vis-mig at Splatt Bridge 7:30-10am 86 Meadow Pipits, 16 Swallows, 64 Linnets, 19 Chaffinches, four Siskins and two Hobbies all flew SW. Also two Marsh Harriers and a Stonechat. (Gordon Hodgson).

WWT Slimbridge     On South Lake seven Cattle Egrets, 24 Avocets and 164 Black-tailed Godwits today. (Helen Bojaniwska). Three Hobbies, a Marsh Harrier and a Peregrine from Zeiss hide and eight Knot from Middle Point. (Jeremy Holland).

Elmore Court     At the rewilding area this afternoon, at least one Whinchat still with 3+ Stonechats, 15 Meadow Pipits, two Skylarks, a Nuthatch, four Goldcrests, a Grey Heron, 15+ Mallards, a Red Kite, a Kestrel, five Buzzards and two Ravens. (Steve Pullen).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Five Mute Swans, 140 Greylags, 280 Canada Goose, 20 Wigeon, four Gadwalls, 180 Teal, 40 Mallards, five Pintails, seven Shovelers, 14 Tufted Ducks, two Grey Herons, a Little Egret, five Moorhens, 60 Lapwings and 500+ Swallows moving through SW. (Mike Smart).

Stonehouse to Eastington    From a walk along the canal from St Cyr’s to Eastington and back a Buzzard at Eastington, three Grey Wagtails and a Kestrel at Pike Bridge, a Grey Wagtail at Newtown Lock and a Little Grebe at Bonds Mill. (Nigel Birch).

Winchcombe     At 8am 12+ House Martins circling over the cemetery. At least 12 Long-tailed Tits in Old Brockhampton Road. (Andrew & Gill Worthington).
