Frampton     A juvenile OSPREY NE of Court Lake mid-morning. (Martin McGill). Later around the pool an OSPREY, a Hobby, a Brambling, seven Redwings, three Siskins, 38 Swallows, a Common Sandpiper, two Snipe, 18 Skylarks, 17 Meadow Pipits, ten Chiffchaffs, a Blackcap, 19 Gadwalls, 12 Tufted Ducks and 37 Cormorants. This afternoon 16 Cormorant, a Great White Egret, seven Little Egrets, the OSPREY still, c70 Coots, a juvenile Peregrine flew over low calling, a Buzzard, two Jays, a Grey Heron, a juvenile Great Crested Grebe and Migrant Hawkers. Saul Warth     Six juvenile Mute Swans, 57 Shelducks, two Pintails, 55 Curlews, a Greenshank heard, a Common Sandpiper, ten Dunlins, four Grey Herons, a Little Egret, 34 Meadow Pipits, a Stonechat, three Skylarks, three Reed Buntings, 14 Linnets, 15 Goldfinches, 53 Swallows, 47 House Martins and two Chiffchaffs. Coombe Hill Meadows     This morning c250 Greylags (including two leucistic birds), c300 Canada Geese, 12 Lapwings, a Red Kite, two Buzzards and a Kingfisher. Also 5+ Willow Emerald damselflies, three Southern Hawkers and lots of Migrant Hawkers. Also today c80 Swallows, c6 House Martins, c5 Meadow Pipits and a Brambling flew through. Three Little Egrets, a Great White Egret, a Tufted Duck, c20 Mallards, c20 Gadwalls, c50 Teal, c50 Wigeon, c8 Pintail, six Coots, nine Cormorants over, c15 Black-headed Gulls, c30 Skylarks, a Reed Bunting, a Pied Wagtail, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, c4 Bullfinches, c4 Greenfinches, a Mistle Thrush, a Chaffinch, a Kestrel, a Treecreeper, a Song Thrush, a Jay, a Cetti’s Warbler, a Blackcap, two Blackbirds and a House Sparrow. WWT Slimbridge    A MERLIN between Top and Bottom New Piece. A Curlew Sandpiper around the grounds. Five Spotted Redshanks from Zeiss hide. Five Cattle Egrets on South Lake. (Tim Jukes/Dot Jones/Ian Hull/Bob Shiret). Also a pair of mating Migrant Hawkers in the estuary reeds and a Dark Bush-cricket by the Robbie Garnet hide. (Bob Shiret).

Hartpury     At the college 19 Redwings, 30+ Swallows, 50 House Martins, two Linnets, 14 Common Gulls, 15+ Pied Wagtails, a Red Kite, three Buzzards, five Meadow Pipits, three Mistle Thrushes, a Coal Tit, a Raven, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Green Woodpecker, three Stock Doves, a Chiffchaff, two Jays and five Long-tailed Tits. Gloucester    At Sandhurst Hill a late Yellow Wagtail briefly at Brawn Farm and three Redwings flew over NW. (Andy Jayne).

Cotswold Water Park East     Around Whelford pools Pits 111, 111a, 111b and 127 this afternoon birds included 82 Tufted Ducks, 66 Coots, two Moorhens, 35 Mallards, two Gadwalls, four Teal, five Pochards, nine Great Crested Grebes, a Cetti’s Warbler, 14 Canada Geese, seven Greylags, 48 Cormorants and a Buzzard. Nailsworth     Three Redwings flew over into Walkley Wood to roost at dusk. (Jon Haw).
