Frampton pools     A BLACK REDSTART this evening on a fence by Court Lake. Also two Cattle Egrets, a Great White Egret, 17 Little Egrets, an adult Yellow-legged Gull, six Wigeon, five Gadwalls, 46 Tufted Ducks, 56 Cormorants, a Kingfisher, 24 Redwings, seven Starlings, two Chiffchaffs, 24 Meadow Pipits, three Siskins and a Grey Wagtail. (Nick Goatman). Earlier 18 Lapwings over, 27 Meadow Pipits, 14+ Long-tailed Tits, four Bullfinches (1m), three Cetti’s Warblers, a pair of Ravens and a late Migrant Hawker. (MK).

WWT Slimbridge     A YELLOW-BROWED WARBLER in the hedge behind the car park this afternoon. First picked up near the Scout Hut (NE corner) then moved along the hedge, but quite mobile and calling infrequently. At least three Chiffchaffs here. A juvenile Goshawk on the Top/Bottom New Piece early afternoon. (Andy Chapman/Paul Masters). 20 Cattle Egrets around the grounds today. (Tim McGrath/Roberta Goodall). Minsterworth Ham     Five Mute Swans, 18 Shovelers, 30 Gadwalls, 100 Wigeon, 50 Mallards, 22 Pintails, ten Teal, 13 Lapwings, two Snipe, a Green Sandpiper, 16 Grey Herons, a Sparrowhawk, two Buzzards, a Kingfisher, 40+ Redwings and two Jays. (Andy Jayne).

Painswick Beacon     This morning’s migration watch included 3130 Woodpigeons, 494 Starlings, nine Hawfinches, 151 Redwings, 50 Meadow Pipits, 220 Common Gulls, 48 Goldfinches and 33 Chaffinches. (John Fleming/Kevin Kingscott).

Tewkesbury     At Cowfield Farm birds included a Buzzard, a Green Woodpecker, ten Redwings, two Water Rails calling and a Chiffchaff singing. (Les Ditchburn).

Hartpury     At the College birds included five Siskins, 70+ Redwings, two Mistle Thrushes, three Song Thrushes, two Great Spotted Woodpeckers, a Green Woodpecker, five Greenfinches, 12 Goldfinches, 30 Common Gulls, Skylark, a Stock Dove, a Jay, seven Meadow Pipit and a Goldcrest. (Oliver Paisey).

Stroud-Thrupp    Along the canal, Bowbridge to the Brewery, a Water Rail, two Ravens, two Buzzards and a Kestrel. (Paul Sutton).

Gloucester     At Alney Island a Grey Heron, a Great White Egret, a Buzzard, a Kestrel, a pair of Stonechats on Port Ham and 12+ Long-tailed Tits today. (Gordon Avery).

Chavenage Lane     Near dusk 2000+ Starlings flew E, presumably to roost. (Terry Grant).
