Saul Warth This morning the male WHEATEAR still flycatching and feeding well on its 8th day but lacking the feathers to migrate, it could be here all winter. 33 Curlews, a Green Sandpiper, seven Cormorants, a Little Egret, a Redwing, a Stonechat, 23 Meadow Pipits, three Chiffchaffs, a Goldcrest, 12 Linnets and five Reed Buntings. Coombe Hill Meadows This morning 15 Cattle Egrets, 17 Little Egrets, a BITTERN flushed and 14 Egyptian Geese. (Ian Ralphs).
Ashleworth Ham 15 Wigeon, two Gadwalls, 60 Teal, 100 Mallards, a Grey Heron, four Little Grebes, a Buzzard, a Water Rail calling, six Fieldfares and 120 Redwings today. (Mike Smart).
Cotswold Water Park West At Shorncote Reedbed this morning four Green Sandpipers, a Great White Egret, two Stonechats, a Siskin, c20 Fieldfares and a Green Woodpecker. (David Creber).
Tewkesbury This morning along Rudgeway Lane just East of the Wheatpieces estate a Water Rail and a Snipe. On Wednesday 6th a Barn Owl in the evening flew across the A38 between the Odessa pub and the Swan Inn. (Pete Long).
Standish Woods A Woodcock flew from leaf litter under a holly tree near the Randwick Long Barrow at 3:30pm today. 200+ corvids (Jackdaws and Rooks) gathered in the fields below the south car park at 4:30pm. (Jon Dexter).
