Berkeley shore No sign of the Snow Bunting between dawn and 10am from the beginning of the seawall at the power station to the end of the wall S of Severn House farm. Chavenage Lane area 800+ Redwings, many dropping in to a field to feed, 130+ Fieldfares, four Mistle Thrushes and two Red Kites. At Barton End 16 Golden Plovers and a male and female Stonechat. (Terry Grant). This afternoon at Barton End at least nine Red Kites, five Buzzards and two Kestrels, eight Red Kites near Hunters Hall and another at Nympsfield. (Paul Sutton).
Gloucester Late morning at Hempsted a Cormorant, a Buzzard, a Kestrel, a Green Woodpecker, a Chiffchaff in the plantation at Sudmeadow, a female Stonechat along the Severn Way and a pair of Ravens at GLS. (Gord Avery).
Halmore A male Hawfinch in a private mixed wood this morning, a patch tick. Also two Buzzards, a hunting Sparrowhawk, four Ravens, a Greenfinch, c20 Redwings with some Fieldfares, a Nuthatch and a Treecreeper. This evening at dusk a Barn Owl hunting a paddock on Halmore Lane. (Chris Newton).

Coombe Hill Meadows This morning from dawn eight Mute Swans, 250 Canada Geese, 200 Greylags, 24 Egyptian Geese, 40 Pintails, 180 Mallards, 61 Shovelers, 200 Wigeon, 500 Teal, eight Gadwalls, four Tufted Ducks, 50 Lapwings, 22 Snipe, two Great Black-backed Gulls, five Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 70 Herring Gulls, 50 Black-headed Gulls, a Great White Egret, 12 Little Egrets, 14 Cattle Egrets, a BITTERN flew in before dawn and disappeared into the main drain just left of the Grundon hide, three Coots, two Moorhens, seven Water Rails, a female/juv Marsh Harrier, a male Peregrine, six Reed Buntings, a Kingfisher, a Cormorant, at least 8 Chiffchaff including two birds singing.
