Frampton The very confiding YELLOW-BROWED WARBLER still at Court Lake N of the jetty today. It is silent and feeding on the ground most of the time. Please give it room to move about and feed. Also today around the pools the adult Yellow-legged Gull, three Goldeneyes (2m), 50+ Siskins, a mixed flock of 200+ Fieldfares and Redwings, 34 Shovelers, 28 Greylags, a male Sparrowhawk and a Kestrel. WWT Slimbridge The drake GREEN-WINGED TEAL on the Top New Piece from Zeiss hide. Also two Marsh Harriers from the Zeiss hide. The WHOOPER SWAN on the Rushy with 65 Bewick’s Swans. The SPOONBILL on South Lake, also two Egyptian Geese. The Little Stint on the Tack Piece. A Kingfisher in the Eider pen. A Water Rail near the Dragonfly pool along South Finger. Cheltenham At 10am a Peregrine perched on the top of Christ Church calling then joined by a second Peregrine carrying prey (pigeon sp) which landed lower down the tower and started to feed. (David Norman).
Dowdeswell Reservoir A Woodcock, two Ravens, seven Goldfinches and two Siskins and two Cormorants this afternoon. (Tom Mabbett).
Halmore Birds in the woods this afternoon included two Treecreepers, a Mistle Thrush, a Song Thrush, several Redwings and at least five Bullfinches (4m, 1f) together. (Chris Newton).
