Frampton pools     Two male Red Crested Pochards at 8:45am but they didn’t linger, male and female Goldeneye, three Pochards, 104 Tufted Ducks, 32 Gadwalls, 22 Teal, 28 Mallards, 72 Shovelers, a Wigeon, 11 Little Grebes, eight Great Crested Grebes, ten Little Egrets, 222 Coots, 16 Moorhens, an adult Yellow-legged Gull, four Blackcaps, four Reed Buntings and two Cetti’s Warblers. (Nick Goatman). Also at the sailing lake 30 Redwings, two Fieldfares, a Mistle Thrush, eight Meadow Pipits and a Chiffchaff. (Ian Hull/MK).

Sharpness     A BLACK REDSTART in the docks again today. (Jordan Yates).

Over    At Over and the Leadon Meadows wildfowl on the ice included the family of five WHOOPER SWANS, seven Shovelers, 24 Mallards and two Pintails. Also a JACK SNIPE, seven Snipe and a Chiffchaff. (Andy Jayne).

Elmore Court     In the rewilding area this afternoon birds included a Yellowhammer, a scarce bird in the Vale and species No 103 for the site, four Stonechats, 40+ Linnets, a Snipe, a Little Egret, four Kestrels, four Great Spotted Woodpeckers, two Green Woodpeckers, five Goldcrests, two Reed Buntings and a Cetti’s Warbler. WWT Slimbridge    On the Rushy a WHOOPER SWAN and 65 Bewick’s Swans. On the Tack Piece a Little Stint and 30 Ruff. (Slimbridge Sightings). A Water Rail at Willow hide again. (Sarah Townsend).

Berkeley shore     This morning birds included 257 Mallards, 81 Teal, 37 Wigeon, 38 Dunlins, 21 Redshanks, four Turnstones, 117 Common Gulls and three Great Black-backed Gulls. The female BLACK REDSTART showed well in the field immediately opposite the entrance to Hamfield Farm feeding around the cattle drinking trough. (Jon Haw).

Uley     A Goldcrest, two Bullfinches and a Grey Heron by Owlpen Manor stream. 14 Mandarins and 30 Mallard on Owlpen Farm lake and a male Blackcap on the garden feeder. (Tim Thompson).

Westonbirt     c90 Lapwings on the ground and later in flight, near Bowldown Farm. (Matt Neale).

Witcombe Reservoirs     WeBS count today birds included two Mute Swans, 286 Mallards, five Teal, three Tufted Ducks, a Little Grebe, three Great Crested Grebes, 13 Cormorants, 11 Moorhens, nine Coots, six Black-headed Gulls, a Common Gull and a Lesser Black-backed Gull. Also a Goldcrest, a Treecreeper, 15 Long-tailed Tits and 13 Siskins. (Gord Avery).

Shab Hill     A Red Kite, 58 Golden Plovers, a Lapwing and three Stock Doves today. (Gord Avery).

Amberley     A Red Kite and two Ravens over the house at midday in Theescombe Lane. (Phil Williams).
