WWT Slimbridge     The juvenile SPOONBILL still on South Lake. Also 14 Ruff and ten Avocets. Two WHOOPER SWANS with 70 Bewick’s Swans this morning on the Rushy. The wild male Goldeneye on the Eider pool.  (Slimbridge Sightings/Dot Jones/Jeanne  Vitkovskis).

Duntisbourne Abbots     A huge flock of several hundred finches, including several female and male Bramblings in a set-aside field on the road from Duntisbourne Abbots to Jackbarrow Lane. (Dave Soons).

Berkeley     The female BLACK REDSTART still in the field directly opposite the entrance to Hamfield Farm at ST66475 99424. View from the gate. (Ken Hurcombe/Steve Pullen). 10+ Turnstones on the river from Severn House Farm. (Steve Pullen).

Walmore Common     65+ Wigeon, 50+ Teal, four Shovelers and nine Dunlins today. (Dan Watson).

Elmore Court     At the Rewilding Area this afternoon on the scrapes a Little Egret. Around the site two Buzzards, two Ravens, a Kestrel, two Green Woodpeckers, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, six Stock Doves, five Stonechats, six Redwings, four Fieldfares, 30 Meadow Pipits and 45 Linnets. (MK).

Cotswold Water Park East    80 Red Crested Pochards and a male Goosander on Pit 114 and a pair of Goosanders on Pit 111. (Ian Ralphs).

Stroud to Thrupp     At least three Water Rails between Lodgemore Lane and Griffin Mill this morning. Also two Cormorants and a pair of Mandarins at Bowbridge with the leucistic drake. (Paul Sutton).

Gloucester     A Kingfisher at Saintbridge Balancing Pond this afternoon. (Lorraine Besent).

Plusterwine    Between Plusterwine and Woolaston Grange at high tide this morning a Grey Heron, a Cormorant, 16 Canada Geese, three Shelduck, 25 Teal, 320 Wigeon, two Buzzards, three Lapwings, 23 Redshanks, an Oystercatcher, 340 Curlews, seven Snipe, five Collared Doves, a Grey Wagtail, a female Bullfinch, three Song Thrushes, a female Reed Bunting and 15 Meadow Pipits. Coombe Hill Meadows     Floodwater is still extensive but the towpath is now
open. Wellies essential and a walking stick is useful. Birds today included nine Mute Swans, 70 Greylags, 100 Canada Geese, two Shelducks, 300 Wigeon, nine Gadwalls, 1500 Teal, 120 Mallards, 150 Pintails, 75 Shovelers, 40 Tufted Ducks, four Grey Herons, a Water Rail, 30 Coots, 120 Lapwings, a Golden Plover, 12 Snipe, seven Long-tailed Tits and five Greenfinches. Forest of Dean     A Bullfinch, a Marsh Tit, a Treecreeper and a Coal Tit at the quarry by the Stoneworks. Hawfinch, Greenfinch and Nuthatch at Parkend. Seven Goosanders on Woorgreens lake. (Sarah Townsend).
