Awre The RICHARD’S PIPIT again this morning near the sea wall at SO 72120 08652. Park at Awre church. Wellies essential for the walk out due to deep puddles. Also a Raven, a female Stonechat, ten Redwings and 37 Meadow Pipits. The Richard’s Pipit isn’t with the Meadow Pipits but is generally alone. (Paul Masters/MK).

Forest of Dean Two Hawfinches at Parkend. At Cannop ponds 16 Wigeon, 18 Mandarins, a pair of Goosanders, five Little Grebes, a Sparrowhawk, two Grey Wagtails, a male Bullfinch, a Siskin and a Raven. Two Goshawks early afternoon from New Fancy View but always distant. Also a Common Lizard and a Red Admiral. (Paul Masters/MK/Chris Keeling). Two Dippers and two Grey Wagtails behind the Fountain Inn. Eight Goosanders and two Ravens at Woorgreens. (Paul Clark).
WWT Slimbridge Two Bewick’s Swans and two Whooper Swans on the Rushy. Also around the grounds an Oystercatcher, a Lesser Redpoll with a small Siskin flock, seven Common Cranes and five White-fronted Geese. (Craig Brookes).

Slimbridge At Shepherd’s Patch beyond the bridge towards the village a Grey Wagtail and 14 Cattle Egret in with the sheep. (Craig Brookes).
Twyning At Upham this morning ten Greylags, 140 Canada Geese, four Mallards, a Grey Heron, six Oystercatchers, nine Curlews, ten Skylarks and 90 Carrion Crows. (Mike Smart).
Tewkesbury At Mythe Hook three Mute Swans, 40 Canada Geese, eight Shelducks, 40 Wigeon, five Teal, 30 Mallards, a Shoveler, a Tufted Duck, a Great White Egret, four Cormorants, a Lapwing, two Curlews, a Raven and 50 Carrion Crows. (Mike Smart).
