Awre     The RICHARD’S PIPIT again this morning near the river’s edge at SO 72120 08652. Park at Awre church. Wellies essential for the walk out due to deep puddles. (Ian Sherriffs).

Cotswold Water Park West     A LITTLE RINGED PLOVER on Pit 201b from the old railway line. (Ian Sherriffs).

Highnam Woods     Two Marsh Tits from the hide this morning. Also a Red Kite. (Tom Berry).

WWT Slimbridge     Two WHOOPER SWANS and a juvenile SPOONBILL on the Tack Piece today. A Little Stint and 74 White-fronted Geese on the Dumbles. 80 Avocets on South Lake. (Dot Jones).

Frampton    This afternoon three Marsh Harriers hunting between Splatt Bridge and Saul Warth, a Black Swan on the Warth, a Curlew, a Chiffchaff and a Cetti’s Warbler singing, a Skylark and a Sparrowhawk. At sailing lake six Reed Buntings, 10+ Chaffinches, eight Linnets, three Chiffchaffs, two singing, ten Redwings and a Sparrowhawk along the southern edge. On the lake 50 Tufted Ducks, 30 Coots, two Great Crested Grebes and four Mute Swans. (MK).

Elmore Court     In the rewilding area six Teal, three Lapwings, two Snipe, a Grey Heron, a Little Egret, two Red Kite, a Barn Owl, two Little Owls heard, two Green Woodpeckers, two Kestrels, a Peregrine with prey, three Chiffchaffs, a pair of Stonechats, 100+ Greenfinches roosting and two Reed Buntings. Chavenage Lane area     350+ Redwings, 120+ Fieldfares, 400+ Starlings, 130+ Golden Plovers, seven Buzzards and at least six Red Kites and a Little Owl. (Terry Grant).

Gloucester     At Sandhurst four Mute Swans, two Shelducks, ten Teal, 100 Mallards, 20+ Grey Heron, a Little Grebe, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Skylark, three singing Chiffchaffs, a Treecreeper and a Reed Bunting. (Mike Smart).

Hardwicke (near Elmstone Hardwicke)     A Red Kite hunting over fields at 10:15 this morning. (Gordon Avery).
