WWT Slimbridge     Around the grounds today birds included 110 White-fronted Geese, two Bewick’s Swans, two WHOOPER SWANS, 55 Gadwalls, six Stock Doves, three Water Rails, six Common Cranes, four pairs of Oystercatchers, 13 Ruff, an adult and an immature SPOONBILL, a Marsh Harrier, three Kingfishers, four Chiffchaffs, two Cetti’s Warblers, 14+ Greenfinches, 60+ Goldfinches, a Reed Bunting and a Roe Deer. (Stephen Curtis & Carol Rushton). 14 Cattle Egrets and 86 Avocets on South Lake. Two Sand Martins over Tack Piece briefly at 2:33pm. (Slimbridge Sightings).

Stroud     Two Dippers on the River Frome today. (Alan McIlquham).

Forest of Dean     A Dipper at Parkend this morning. At New Fancy View a singing FIRECREST and two Chiffchaffs. (Nigel Sluman).

Saul Warth     A Black Swan and a male Marsh Harrier hunting. Also two Chiffchaffs, a Cetti’s Warbler and three Curlews. (MK).

Frampton     At Court Lake seven Sand Martins, a male Marsh Harrier, six Greenfinches, two Nuthatches, a Treecreeper, five Great Crested Grebes, 46 Tufted Ducks, 14 Little Egrets, two Oystercatchers, 26 Greylags, eight Canada Geese and three Grey Herons. (Nick Goatman). 15+ Reed Buntings with 15+ Linnets and 10+ Chaffinches at the sailing lake.  Also two Chiffchaffs, six Stock Doves, four Curlews and 20+ Redwings. Eight Redwings along the canal and a Wren nest building at Splatt Bridge. (MK).
