Highnam Wood     A NIGHTINGALE singing strongly for a few minutes at 7:10pm. (Andy Jayne).

Cleeve Hill    This morning three RING OUZELS for nearly 5 minutes then flew SE at 9:16am, a very brief Wheatear, a Swallow and seven Golden Plovers. (Steve Rickard). Also today a Redstart, six Stonechats, two Corn Buntings, two Yellowhammers and three Willow Warblers. (Jamie Brown).

Ebworth     Two RING OUZELS on the Ebworth drive at 5pm this evening off the B4070 between Bulls Cross and Birdlip. (Tom Griffin/Mil Petkovic).

Frampton     The drake RING-NECKED DUCK still on Court Lake today. (Nick Goatman/Terry Stevenson). From Splatt Bridge early morning, a Sedge Warbler, a Reed Warbler, three Willow Warblers and five Cetti’s Warblers in song, 19 Bar-tailed Godwits high over, a Kingfisher, two Mandarins over, a Grey Heron, six Gadwalls, 40+ Shelducks and a Buzzard. Cotswold Water Park East     The drake LESSER SCAUP showed briefly at 2:20pm, mostly preening, on Pit 111 at Whelford.  (Andy & Sue Gibbons).

WWT Slimbridge     A BITTERN flew into the reedbed at Knott hide at 2:45pm. (Roberta Goodall).

Forest of Dean    Today at Nagshead male and female Redstart, a Pied Flycatcher and a Siskin all at the Lower hide. (Martin & Jenny Green).

Horsley     This morning a pair of Marsh Tits gathering nest material. Also three Swallows back on territory. (MK).

Stroud     A Dipper this morning on the Slad Brook near the town centre. (Rose Lennard).

Alvington    Two Red Kites flew low over Clanna Country Park this morning. (Paul Woolams).

Coombe Hill Meadows     52 Wigeon, 12 Teal, 30 Mallards, a Great White Egret, two Little Egrets, three Grey Herons, two Coots, an Oystercatcher, two Avocets, 12 Lapwings, two Redshanks, five Skylarks, two singing Redstarts, a Sedge Warbler, three Blackcaps, five Chiffchaffs and a Reed Bunting. Rodborough Common     Three Chiffchaffs and three Kestrels today. (Mil Petkovic).

Hope Mansell, Herefordshire     HEADS UP! A BLACK KITE flew over at 4pm on Sunday 6th, very close to the Gloucestershire border. If you are in the Forest or at New Fancy View or just see a kite look hard. Seen & photographed by James Leighton.
