Coombe Hill Meadows     This evening eight Greylags, nine Canada Geese, 20 Mallards, a Great White Egret, two Grey Herons, a pair of Oystercatchers with three chicks, an Avocet, four Lapwings, five Curlews, two Snipe calling at dusk, two Redshanks, a Lesser Black-backed Gull, a Kingfisher, a Cuckoo heard, two Skylarks, two Pied Wagtails, male and female Yellow Wagtail, four Sedge Warblers, three Chiffchaffs and a Reed Bunting. (Mike Smart/GNS Group/Alan Hooper). This morning two Buzzards, a Kestrel, a Little Egret, 6+ Skylarks, two Redstarts, a Lesser Whitethroat, a Sedge Warbler and 6+ Chiffchaffs. Also hundreds of Damselflies, mainly Azure, but a few Common Blue and Blue-tailed, also 6+ Hairy Dragonflies and a Broad-bodied Chaser. (Paul Clark).
