WWT Slimbridge      The male WHITE-SPOTTED BLUETHROAT showing on and off in the reedbeds at Middle Point from the Shepherds Hut today. A SHORT-EARED OWL briefly at 11:28am. Two SPOONBILLS on the Tack Piece. Two Cattle Egrets from Van de Bovenkamp hide. (Dot Jones/Ian Hull/Slimbridge Sightings).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This evening a Grey Heron, a Great White Egret, four Lapwings, three Yellow Wagtails, a Cuckoo, a Kingfisher, a Jay, three Redshanks, an Oystercatcher, a Reed Bunting, a Whitethroat seen and lots singing and Sedge Warblers singing. Also 25 male Brimstones, an Orange Tip and a jack Pike. (Alan Hooper/Dawn Ballinger).

Saul Warth     At a low high tide six Whimbrels, 12 Ringed Plovers, two Dunlins, 16 Curlews, two Bar-tailed Godwits, two Oystercatchers, a distant Cuckoo heard, a Red Kite, two Swallows and the first Common Blues. (MK/Mike Davis/Geoff Moyser/Roger Gillespie).

Aylburton Warth/Guscar Rocks     This morning six Canada Geese, 12 Shelducks, two Mallards, a Grey Heron, a Buzzard, five Oystercatchers, 11 Curlews, two Redshanks, 10+ Skylarks, five Swallows, a Meadow Pipit, a Cetti’s Warbler, five Reed Warblers, three Chiffchaffs, three Linnets and a Reed Bunting. Oakridge Lynch     At Strawberry Banks NR at midday a Red Kite and a Sparrowhawk, also butterflies including six Marsh Fritillaries, four Small Blues, a Green Hairstreak, and good numbers of Common Blues, Small Heaths and Dingy Skippers. At France Lynch village five Swifts. (Rob Crofton).

The Camp     At Rough Bank N.R. at SO914087 two Ravens, a Bullfinch, and butterflies included a male Adonis Blue, a Small Blue and a Brown Argus. (Rob Crofton).
