WWT Slimbridge     The male WHITE-SPOTTED BLUETHROAT showing on and off in the reedbeds at Middle Point from the Shepherds Hut today. Two SPOONBILLS on the Top New Piece. Three Great White Egrets on the Tack Piece. (Roberta Goodall).

Cleeve Hill      At Bill Smyllie butterfly reserve 10:30-11:30am a Red Kite, two Buzzards, two Ravens, singing birds including two Redstarts, a Tree Pipit, two Willow Warblers and a Yellowhammer. Butterflies included a Painted Lady, a Dingy Skipper, a Common Blue female and several of both Small Heaths and Small Blues. Moths included many Six-Spot Burnets and Common Heaths and a few Lace Borders. Also swarms of Garden Chafers. (Steve Brown).

Frampton    At Splatt Bridge early this morning, two Cuckoos, three Common Cranes, two Buzzards and a pair of Mandarins. (Steve Pullen).

Ashleworth Ham     During a ringing session today, 32 birds caught including two Reed Warbler, six Sedge Warblers, six Whitethroats, a Chiffchaff, two Linnets, two Reed Buntings and an adult female Yellowhammer. Around the reserve 1+ Curlew, a Cuckoo, 2+ Skylarks, 3+ Redstarts, a Reed Warbler, 5+ Sedge Warblers, 5+ Whitethroats, 2+ Chiffchaffs, a Willow Warbler, 1+ Raven and 3+ Reed Buntings.
