WWT Slimbridge     Two SPOONBILLS on the Top New Piece from Zeiss hide. From Estuary Tower 20 Curlews, a Whimbrel, two Ruff, 25 Sanderlings, 103 Dunlins, 90 Ringed Plovers and two Oystercatchers. Three breeding plumage Cattle Egrets on South Lake. (Slimbridge Sightings/Terry Stevenson).

Saul Warth    A Short-eared Owl at 6:30am between Hock Ditch and Hock Cliff. A Mandarin flew from Hock Ditch towards Dunstalls Farm at 6:15am. On the river at high tide  40 Shelducks and four ducklings, 18 Curlews, a Bar-tailed Godwit, three Grey Plovers, 30 Dunlins, 11 Ringed Plovers, six Sanderlings and three Oystercatchers. Frampton     At the pools 50+ Swifts, two pairs of Great Crested Grebes with young, a Spotted Flycatcher, 80+ Sand Martins with a few House Martins and Swallows, an Oystercatcher feeding young, four breeding plumage Cattle Egrets, two Little Egrets and two Grey Heron juveniles nearly ready to fly. Sharpness     This morning a Lesser Black-backed Gull with white primaries, a Whimbrel, a Lapwing, three Oystercatchers, a Mistle Thrush, a Reed Warbler, 16 Shelducks, two Stock Doves, two Little Egrets, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Pied Wagtail and a Buzzard. (Oliver Paisey).

Halmore     In the woods today birds included a Cuckoo, two Bullfinches, several Spotted Flycatchers, two Nuthatches, two Coal Tits, two Blackcaps and a Little Egret. (Chris Newton).

Leckhampton     A Red Kite snatched a Magpie chick from the nest in the neighbour’s garden today. (Chris Furley).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Five Mute Swans, 30 Mallards, a Grey Heron, a Little Egret, a Coot, a pair of Oystercatchers with two chicks, five Lapwings, a Snipe, a pair of Redshanks with three small chicks, three Cuckoos, three Skylarks, a Redstart, a Reed Warbler, two Sedge Warblers, two Blackcaps, three Whitethroats, two Chiffchaffs and three Reed Buntings. Tewkesbury Abbey     Both adult Peregrines feeding a chick on the breeding platform this afternoon. (Roger Wasley).
