WWT Slimbridge     A WOOD SANDPIPER from Hogarth hide this afternoon and a pair of Garganeys from Zeiss hide. The male WHITE-SPOTTED BLUETHROAT still in the reedbeds at Middle Point from the Shepherds Hut and the Spotted Redshank and two Green Sandpipers on South Lake.(Steve Huggins/Roberta Goodall).

Arlingham     Four Green Sandpipers on the Arlingham side of the River Severn viewed from Westbury-on-Severn this evening. (Dan Watson).

Forest of Dean     At Cannop Ponds a family of four Ravens, three Mute Swans (2 ads, 1 cygnet), four Coots (2 ads, 2 chicks) and a Grey Wagtail. Also a Silver-washed Fritillary, three Black-tailed Skimmers and three Emperors. At Nagshead three Pied Flycatchers heard, a Firecrest heard 4+ Siskins and a Garden Warbler. Also three Broad-bodied Chasers (2m, 1f), an Emperor, a Scarlet Tiger Moth and a Comma. At Bishop Mead, Lydney from the garden a Whitethroat heard, a Willow Warbler, a Greenfinch, a Great Black-backed Gull on top of an adjacent house, two Swifts, three House Martins and a Ringlet. Elmore Court     In the rewilding area this morning, birds included a Cuckoo, a Stonechat, two Little Egrets, six Lapwings, three Sedge Warblers, two Reed Buntings, 10+ Skylarks and five Goldcrests. Also large numbers of Meadow Brown and Skipper Butterflies and several Marbled Whites. (Steve Pullen).

Hartpury     Birds today included a Hobby, a Red Kite, five Buzzards, a Green Woodpecker, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, three Greenfinches, three Chaffinches, a Song Thrush, a Blackcap, a Whitethroat, four Stock Doves, 30+ Greylags, 17+ Canada Geese, two Chiffchaffs and a Nuthatch. (Oliver Paisey).

Ashleworth Ham     Another Constant Effort Site ringing session caught 98 birds, including a Green Woodpecker, the first ever caught in 30 years. Also four Redstarts, four Sedge Warbler, two Blackcaps, 23 Whitethroats, two Lesser Whitethroats, seven Chiffchaffs, a Treecreeper, two Bullfinches and eight Reed Buntings. On the reserve and surrounding fields, a Curlew calling, five Skylarks, a Willow Warbler and a Raven.
