Berkeley shore     A drake COMMON SCOTER came up on the tide and was off of Severn House farm at 10:10am. (Neil Smart).

WWT Slimbridge    This morning the male WHITE-SPOTTED BLUETHROAT still in the reedbeds at Middle Point showing occasionally. (Slimbridge Sightings). A BITTERN showing well on the Top New Piece from Zeiss hide. Two BEARDED TITS on the Top New Piece in reeds by the seawall. Also two Greenshanks, three Little Ringed Plovers, four Green Sandpipers, 24 Dunlins and a Grey Wagtail with a small group of Pied Wagtails from Zeiss hide. A Spotted Redshank on South Lake. Slimbridge     A Red Kite today at midday near Slimbridge football ground. (Terry Webb).

Saul Warth     Early morning five Grey Herons, two Little Egrets, a juvenile Kestrel, 143 Avocets, 88 Curlews, 15 Oystercatchers, ten Swallows, two Whitethroats, three Chiffchaffs, 25+ Goldfinches and 10+ Long-tailed Tits. Also 1000’s of 7-spot Ladybirds. (MK).

Frampton     Five Cranes flew over the Perryway heading N at 8am. (Dot Jones). Around the pools a Marsh Tit, eight Common Terns, a Red Kite, a Ross’s Goose, a Bar-headed x Snow Goose hybrid, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Kingfisher, a Spotted Flycatcher, a Yellow-legged Gull, three Pochards, a Stock Dove, a Bullfinch, a Common Sandpiper and two Grey Wagtails. Haw Bridge    Four Yellowhammers (2m, 2f) this afternoon. (Robin Lewis).

Dowdeswell Woods     This evening three Spotted Flycatchers, two Treecreepers, a Nuthatch, three Goldcrests and Wrens with four fledglings. (Mark Makin).

Aylburton Warth/ Guscar Rocks     WeBS count birds included 80 Canada Geese, six Shelducks, eight Grey Herons, a Buzzard, two Peregrines, four Oystercatchers, two Lapwings, 705 Curlews, including at least seven colour-rings from the 2010-2013 catches and at least four head starts from the Slimbridge 2019 cohort, a Redshank, a Greenshank, a Common Sandpiper, 245 Black-headed Gulls, three Common Gulls, three Herring Gulls, five Skylarks, five Swallows, ten Meadow Pipits, three Reed Warblers, three Ravens, 100 Rooks, 50 Carrion Crows and 50 Linnet.
